Love it!! Better than the HD

Roku support sent us the XD to replace a faulty HD... I'm soooo happy with the XD - I thought I loved the HD, but the new XD seems to connect faster. Also, the new remote is much more comfortable...
Pros: Easy to use, Video selection, Reliability, Compact, High quality picture, Built in Wi-Fi, Easy to set up, Great value
Cons: Want more video choices

I use the product for Netflix at this time, but I am unable to connect now in AZ(Qwest DSL wireless). It worked fine in Indiana (Frontier FIOS wireless). I will try a range extender to see if this cures my problem. If not, I will probably return my ROKU. A recommendation is iffy!

Cons: Can't conect to DSL svc

Completely changed my attitude to TV

I generally don't watch TV because I can't stand the incessant commercials, and I refuse to schedule my life around program times. Yes, I could get a DVR but don't feel that I should need to. The Roku truly changed my attitude towards TV. I can watch what I want, when I want via Netflix (and soon to be Hulu Plus). That's how it SHOULD work.
Pros: Great value, Easy to set up, Built in Wi-Fi, High quality picture
Cons: No Parental Controls, Weak remote control range

This is the be thing I could have done to save money and still watch a lot of my shows. still need access to my other show that come on "the CW" Im not home much but now I can watch more than I need for way way less. this is a great product that you can take with you anywhere and lets hassle. I love it. and Im using a 3g connection from sprint for my internet speed which save me even more money. beat that cable or direct even dish you can't the roku is mainly for those who dvr so much the dont even get a chance to watch live show and for those who only get home so late they have 1 to two hours to watch tv before bed.

I've had my Roku box for well over a year. When my first box died about 9 months ago (it had run well for over a year), Roku sent me this new one for free. I now have cut off my cable service, since I can stream movies from Netflix using my subscription, and access the Roku Newscaster, which lets me view my favorite news and analysts shows. The only thing I wish for is to add Jon Stewart and Steven Colbert to the Newscaster. I know, they are "comedy" but they are also some of the best news commentary there is. The streaming sometimes hiccups, but over all, I forget I am streaming most of the time.

Product loses signal very often. We have tried the recommended solutions but still have some difficulyy keeping picture. It is wonderful when it does function properly
