Roku XD easy to use, great to watch

We had a difficult time getting it going, however, tech support saved the day with patient, knowledgeable support - took about an hour to reconfigure in-house network. Once up and running, easy to use and great picture - makes the hd tv programming look a little fuzzy. We are Netflix users and always forget to return or play - the convenience of RUKU is great.

I bought the roku xd. It was easy to set up. I really want to drop directv, or downgrade package. Netflix is great but it needs more "new releases" as long as you like to watch older movies or shows it is fine. I'm still on my free trial of huluplus. Their idea of current tv shows is NOT my idea of current show. The shows are all past seasons. You can't watch the lastest house episode because only season 1 is available. The roku has lots of free channels but most of the stuff on the free channels,are not worth it.I have spent hours going thru the free channels. CrackleTV has lots of OLD tv shows (1970's for example) There are many free music channels that are great. I think the roku would be great for a single person. My family of three just can't rely on the roku all by itself. I guess when it comes down to cost the roku is a good buy. I haven't tried Amazon On Demand yet, because they are pay per view movies,(at 3.99 a movie) and I'm looking to save money on my tv viewing not increase it.

We used to watch Netflix movies on our computer, but now we can watch them on our TV. It is great!
