I'm not sure why more third party services haven't utilized the developer kit to create their own Roku channel. Perhaps outreach should be beefed up or reassessing the Dev kit to improve adoption would help. And while initially this may seem like a threat, I think Roku boxes should eventually integrate with Google TV. This would make me run out and buy a new box for every set in the house.
Pros: Great value, Easy to use, Built in Wi-Fi, Easy to set up, Reliability, Compact, High quality picture
Cons: No Access To The Web, Want more video choices

We watch re-runs of the movies/shows that are on the networks without the commercial breaks. It makes watching TV a pleasure and not a chore Not all current material is available

This Roku has replaced a first gen apple tv it has been a really solid device. The only thing I miss compared to the new apple tv is the streaming from a media device.

Best thing since sliced bread. I got rid of my satellite when I got my first ROKU player. I have just purchased another player. Mainly watch Netflix and Hulu. My grandchildren like to use the other programs.

With Roku You Don't Need Cable...

I own three Roku boxes and got rid of two cable boxes. (The one cable box I kept is an HD hard drive recorder). The cable box savings will pay for the cost of the Roku boxes and after that my Netflix subscription. This product is easy to set up and use and provides great entertainment. The box is small enough to be portable and you can use it at other locations that have either wired or wireless internet access.

So far so good. Why no on-off switch???? Works well with my Logitech 800 Harmony
