One of the best electronic devices we have purchased in the past few years...easy set up, works as advertised. Remote is labelled so it is easy to find in a pile of controls. Combined with Netflix, a real asset to our entertainment selections.
Pros: Built in Wi-Fi, Easy to set up, Reliability, Compact, High quality picture, Great value, Easy to use

XD Player is Great

The product has worked very well for us. We use it for Netflix. The set-up was simple. The wi-fi connection has been very reliable. We have had no hiccups of any kind.

Needs a robust and fast wireless signal

I bought a new, basic wireless router ($40)to use with the Roku and found that even at 30 feet, it was not robust enough to feed the data-demanding Roku. Lots of disconnects, slow data retrival, low resolution and reboots. Upgraded to the Linksys WRT400N ($70)and had much, much better results. To those with older HiDef TVs: the HDMI output will not work on early-generation HDMI televisions. The cable fits, but there is an encryption scheme added that excludes early HDMI sets. Had to upgrade to the top Roku box that has component video outputs! So overall, I spent more money getting into this system than had originally planned for. There was also a great deal of energy and frustration expended in resolving these problems. For Netflix it works fine, and there are many other channels to choose from. Some channels are free, but many require computer log-ins and paid subscriptions, which you don't find out about until you've added the channel to your lineup, and attempted to view it. Still trying to figure out how to remove those channels. Overall, this is a great product with simple installation, as long as you are patient, (and not old-school).

Cons: May req router replacing, Requires robust router, Early HDMI non-compatible
