I LOVE my Roku!

I use this alot! I rarely watch my cable tv any longer. I stream my netflix, and I can always find plenty of interesting things to watch.. often it's hard to decide!
Pros: Easy to use, Great value, Easy to set up, Built in Wi-Fi, Reliability, Video selection, Compact, High quality picture

Best Streamer

Very happy with the XD. Easy for the whole family to use. Best Netflix streaming (many streamers just show the Netflix que - Roku allows searching within Netflix and a nice interface). Has Hulu Plus and excellent picture quality. The streaming is consistent and reliable, which cannot be said for Sony streamers/bluray players. We cancelled cable TV service thanks to this, and haven't looked back.

Minor ticks away from Perfection

I am using the Roku to turn an unused computer monitor into a bedroom "TV", using an HDMI to DVI adaptor. Works great for this purpose, even just on DSL speeds. Some channels seem more efficient at streaming than others, but Netflix is especially good, and that's the main reason I got the Roku. Setup is simple, but I was surprised it does require you to logon to the Roku website using a computer first. I found that to be awkward, but otherwise the process went smoothly.
Pros: Easy to use, Compact, Great value
Cons: Difficult to set up

Failed to work with my HD TV

Got this to improve my Netflix viewing experience with my HDTV. It didn't work, but I am using it on my old TV and it is fine.
Cons: Inconsistent performance

2nd Roku player for us

We were so delighted with our first Roku, which was an HD model, that we bought a second Roku for an upstairs bedroom. Purchased an XD because of the distance from our router, and have been completely pleased with it. The Roku and Netflix are making it possible for us to do away with satellite TV as soon as our contract expires... Thanks Roku
