Really nice, but takes time to set up

First time buyer / user. Overall the system is very good. Easy to use once you figure it out. Set up was difficult for me but fortunately my 14 y/o was around to assist. A credit card was required to set system up and I refused, so I called Roku and they were able to disconnect that feature. The CSR / Tech Support was reluctant at first, but after telling her I would return the unit, she said, she will see what she can do. Over an hour later, it was done and worth it. I signed up for netflix separately, if you choose to keep your credit card on file, be aware that you may start over ordering programs / apps without the intention of doing so? There are some interesting programs available for free, but the good stuff you have to pay for. My son says the Roku is much like the I-pod / I-pad?? Never the less, Roku made a simple, straightforward system that works remarkably well. I'm planning to get another one for my room.
Pros: Compact, Built in Wi-Fi, Great value, High quality picture
Cons: Difficult to set up

A little difficult for me to set up, But their tech support walked me through from the beginning to the end and made sure it was working right.

A Great Product

I have the bases covered in the living room with all the game systems. The bedroom on the other hand was impossible until we bought the wireless Roku XD.

Coupled with Netflix this product provides huge resources of available material, instantly on demand, at a fraction of the cost of limited offerings on our satelite service. My wife is thrilled and isn't that what it is all about. Recommending this to all friends and family.

This thing Roks!

Cord cut - and no regrets. Got our fist Roku box a year ago and just installed the second. Just got one for my retirement-age mother and she had no troubles setting it up and watching movies. Great for children, adults, seniors. One drawback - live sports like football and college basketball. Once that gets done, there's not going to be a single drawback to these powerful little boxes.

Good Player for a Good Price

Inconsistent performance might not be the player, but Netflix. Many films start for about 2 minutes and then start to load again. Usually they never finish reloading.
Pros: Video selection, Compact, Built in Wi-Fi, Great value

when theres nothing on direct t v i turn to roku and am never dissapointed tried to get a code for facebook for weeks now and cant get a code . its frustraing
