Was a gift, wanted it because son moved his Xbox 360 back to his bedroom once he got his own tv. We used it to stream Netflix to the living room tv. He left his Wii in the living room for us to use. Wii game sysem works however, the picture quality is lower than the 460 on the Wii. 360 is better and after watching movies in 1080 looked for something to stream the movies in the higher resolution... So Roku went on my wish list for Christmas.
Pros: Compact, Easy to set up, Easy to use, Great value
Cons: Wireless inconsistant

No closed caption with Netflix

Great product, but after a conference call with Roku support and Netflix all agree I cannot get closed captions for Netflix movies. I cannot understand conversations without them.
Pros: Easily installed, Clear picture
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

The player itself is easy to set up and use...but still find myself going to redbox because of the limited new movie choices.
Pros: Easy to use, Compact, Built in Wi-Fi, Easy to set up

Great player once set up

Product setup was one of the most difficult I have encountered. Customer service rep was amazing and made everything work. No problems after and everything is working great.
Pros: Built in Wi-Fi, Compact, Easy to use, Great value
Cons: Need fast internet service, Difficult to set up

Nice, but not easy to get started!

We use the Roku to access Netflix. Now that it works, we like it. However, if we needed to set it up again, we would need help. It was NOT as easy as the directions indicated.
Pros: Compact, Built in Wi-Fi, High quality picture
Cons: Inconsistent performance, Sound did not work, We needed help to set up, Difficult to set up

Very difficult to communicate

Had a hard time setting it up but what made it even more difficult was the Roku staff's inability to communicate in English. Not only did I not understand them they could not understand me. Had to constantly repeat myself over and over. Finally gave up and sent the player back for credit.
Cons: Need fast internet service, Difficult to set up
