Useful, easy, and lazy!

I don't watch a lot of TV. I watch a couple shows on Hulu, and do some Netflixing. I have three video game systems that can stream Netflix, plus a PC hooked up to my computer... But I never really used 'em. Since I've gotten a Roku, I've watched a lot of interesting shows, and I listen to streaming radio via Last.FM a lot more. It's fun!
Pros: Like an Internet remote, Easy to use
Cons: Lots of buffering

Use often, works great with Netflix. Had more trouble setting it up than anticipated, but worth the trouble. Hope the technology improves to include the option of closed captions. That is important to me.
Pros: Video selection, Compact, Easy to use, Great value
Cons: Inconsistent volume level, Difficult to set up, Inconsistent performance

Once or twice a week I can't get anything on it, and I have AT&T U-Verse with a pretty powerful router! It won't retrieve movies from Netflix - if I can even get through to Netflix...and all my "settings" are correct. Very frustrating!Does it get "overloaded" with people watching things through Wi-Fi?
Cons: Inconsistent performance, Doesn't always work, Not reliable

Great for the whole family!

I bought this for my mom for Christmas so we could watch instant Netflix. But this benefits the whole family! It was soo easy to set up and easy to use. I love that it gets a ton of channels even though I only usually use Netflix. Sometimes it locks up, but you only have to go back to the home screen and problem solved. All in all I think this was a great purchase! I would recommend to anyone!

Very Very difficult to set up...

I couldn't get the roku to work correctly. It kept buffering. I had an extremely hard time setting up the product. I was on the phone with three different men from and in India. I was on the phone for over 4 hours total. I had difficulty understanding them and they didn't listen to me.. They had me make many many changes to my wifi router. When I got off the phone I was ready to send it back... Then I tried it one last time on my own. I reset the router to factory settings and then installed the Roku... It has worked fine ever since. NO HELP FROM THE TECHNICAL SUPPORT Since then it has worked really well. I'm very happy with it. You might need some new support people. Thanks...

Cons: Difficult to set up
