This is really easy to set up and get started. I didn't realize I would need my laptop to set up some of the channels--I was running up and down stairs to enter codes on various websites. But that was not hard and otherwise everything was a cinch. Also, the Youtube channel seems to have been added between the time I bought it before Christmas and the time we really got to check it out after Christmas.
Pros: Compact, Great value, Easy to set up, Easy to use, Built in Wi-Fi
Cons: Want more video choices, Want browser built in

Simplicity

I couldn't figure out how to download pictures from Netflix, without having to tether and untether my computer from the TV. Roku solves the problem, it sits there and downloads stuff when I want. Much easier search function than my cable company's demand service. With one exception, my attention has entirely been on selecting content, not on the technical issues. I did have some trouble setting it up, because I had previously set up my router encryption incorrectly (not Roku's fault). After that, smooth sailing.

Dispointment about programing available.

I basically enjoy this machine-I just wish that the choices for programing included more the the movies and shows that I really like. But, having said that, I do find many things I like about this player. It is small, easy to use, and was easy to set up. And I have found some programing that I do like.
Pros: Compact, Built in Wi-Fi, High quality picture, Easy to use, Reliability, Easy to set up

what would make this product truly choice would be the ablilty to search more easily for movie titles rather than scroll through an endless number of movies. I am thinking of re-subscribing to NetFlix to mail my choices to me.

Cons: Hard to select choice, Difficult to set up

So far, so good - except for Hulu Plus..

Everything seems to work great - Netflix works very well on it and makes it worth the money. I signed up for Hulu Plus expecting more from it. It is inconsistent and the commercials are annoying.

Too much whiz and not enough bang

Got this for christmas and Iwas excited until 3 days later we were still trying to use it. After 3 days online with a tech we finally got it going. It says extended wifi range, well it it maybe 20 feet from the wireless router and we still have to move the box all around until we get a signal to watch a movie and yes we have high speed internet. If it gets better we are good otherwise I wish I had another device.
Pros: Compact, Built in Wi-Fi, Video selection
Cons: Inconsistent performance, Difficult to set up
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
