New TV's can do what the Roku box does. You need to add features to differentiate.
Pros: High quality picture, Great value, Easy to use, Reliability, Very easy to use, Built in Wi-Fi, Compact, Easy to set up
Cons: Want more video choices, Can't play Blu-Ray discs

No more Redbox for us!

We received this for Christmas! We already had a Netflix account. We love, love this product! We used to hit the Redbox on the weekend to get videos for the kids, no more. Great movies of all genres. Also, it seems like the selection of ready play movies is updated on a very regular basis, so we always have a new selection to choose from. The Roku combined with the Netflix movies I receive in the mail is great-it allows us to see many different movie choices and for less than $10 a month, it's a total no brainer.

Have a HDMI cable direct to the TV and RCA sound cables plugged into my surround sound receiver for the complete experience...awesome!

I have two blu-ray players that work with Netflix and CinemaNow but I wanted something that would work with Hulu Plus and Amazon since Amazon has some cheap movies that weren't available on Netflix. It's easy to use and I like that it has a "search" on Netflix. (My blu-rays do not). Netflix told me features like that are dependent on the equipment, not on Netflix.

Love my Roku XDs

I love that they're so small -- not another large gadget to try to squeeze into my entertainment center downstairs or my armoire upstairs -- and yet loaded with power. I'm no techno-genius, but I had no problem setting them up in no time. It's even easier to stream Netflix movies to my TVs using the Roku devices than it is to stream them to my computer, and the picture is of course much better.
