Awesome device, limited choices

Netflix"s lack of recent/new content leaves a lot to be desired, thus limiting the overall enjoyment of the device.
Pros: Easy to use, Easy to set up, Compact, Built in Wi-Fi
Cons: Want more video choices, Need fast internet service

Needs Free Hulu

Faster wireless connection than my old XP laptop. Easy to set up with my computer and wireless system. Very good platform for Netflix

Bad with fluctuating Internet speed

Works great with my fast Internet service at home. However, i hit problems when staying at a hotel, I brought it with me and the Internet speed was generally very slow and would fluctuate very much depending on how many people at the hotel were using it. While watching Netflix movies, the roku xd would try to give me two "dots" of quality, but the movie then had to re-buffer every thirty seconds. I wish that I could tell the roku to give me just one "dot," or that the roku would be better at automatically trying to figure out what the ideal quality was. I wouldn't really care if it was low quality as long as it wouldn't pause and load for long periods of time.

Cons: Need fast internet service, Poor auto-quality

Better than streaming through Blu-Ray!

We set this thing up and were using it within 10 minutes. The streaming is nearly glitch free, unlike the Blu-Ray we had and our Mac. This is the bomb!

Just what I was looking for!

I use the Roku mainly to stream movies from Netflix, and it is great to instantly watch a movie based on your mood at the moment. Due to the size of my primary TV (60"), the picture when streaming 720p is just ok. That is why I believe it is best suited for a secondary TV of maybe 42" or less.
Pros: Easy to set up, Great value, Compact, Built in Wi-Fi, Easy to use

Really love the quality and ease of use. Netflix, Pandora, Hulu Plus, and Amazon are great. I wish there were more options - discovery channel in particular - but still a great value.

I think the remote could use a little tweeking. It is point directly at the roku,makes it hard to choose ,different movies and typein wants. But besides that I -We love it ,been on every day.
