Great quality in small package

Easy to use. Portability - move to secondary TV is simple. I keep composite cables connected to back of TV so plugging them into the ROKU and providing power is all that is required. I wish I had a second power cable.
Pros: Compact, Built in Wi-Fi, High quality picture, Great value, Easy to use
Cons: Difficult to set up, Need fast internet service

You Get What You Pay For

I was going to rate this 2 stars but gave it 3 because the audio stations work so well. So everything about this product is great except its inconsistant performance. And because that is the most important factor to me, I couldn't rate very highly. You see, I have yet to watch a full length feature without the unit rebooting in mid play. Quite aggravating really! Have to go all the way back thru channel choice, catagory, movie select, movie start and fast forward (which is not very precise or smooth) and hope it makes it the rest of the way. And all this for a movie/show I paid to watch. Having said that, it's a great price - right! It's also been said: You get what you pay for. Final Notes: I have one of the fastest cable HSI services in the country and the unit is in close proximity to WiFi signal. I could recommend this product if what's most important to you is good digital audio sound and choices.

Excellent Wi-Fi Coverage

We got off the "Cable Habit" years ago and have been using a combination of an "Over the Air" antenna and Netflix DVDs. We are now enjoying the convenience and freedom of wireless downloads, excellent video reproduction and ease of operation thanks to this well designed Roku product. Keep up the good work

Roku XD adds value to basic cable

The Roku XD player is a value added device. It performs as advertized and has been the source of hours of quality television entertainment. The digital cabling in my house has one drop that provides slightly snowy video. The Roku is used at this location and not only provides sharp imagery on my HDTV but a broad range of content not available on basic cable. This makes my Cable company's basic package with Internet well worth the price. My only complaint is with the Vendor that sold me the device. They charged me [$] for the Roku XD claiming it was the top of the line. While I'm seriously displeased [...] I'm keeping the device because I like the product and can't afford to fly back to Anchorage, AK.

Love It

Only gave a 4 since I have never used anything else but I'm extremely happy with the Roku. We were set up and watching a movie within 25 minutes. Easy, easy, easy! We did not go wireless but with a line, we get incrediable streaming and picture quality. Only drawback is that there needs to be more programs and channels available. Hopefully, one day, all TV will be on the internet.

Easy to set up and use

This was a snap to set up. I was watching a movie in less than 10 minutes and I am no techie. On one or two occasions the picture quality wasn't great, but mostly it is acceptable or better.

HD Video with Wi-Fi not ready yet

The player worked great with a wired connection, but when using Wi-Fi with the video set to 720P or 1080P you receive constant "Loading, Please Wait" messages. It is not usable in this configuration and since it would not be practical for me to run a wired connection to the location of my 52" TV, I sent the player back. I worked with tech support three times but after I saw several other posts with similar problems I asked for the RMA.

Cons: Inconsistent performance
