Best purchase ever

I use the Roku to stream Netflix movies, shows and documentaries. I like the 'search' feature which leads me to the title I'm looking for as well as other possibilities. My only complaint is regarding the 'back' button. After I've typed in a search, I have a column of choices. I select one, read about it and hit the back button. At that point, it takes me clear back to search instead of to that column. Other than that, I am completely delighted with this unit!
Pros: Reliability, Video selection, Easy to set up, Easy to use, Built in Wi-Fi, Great value, Compact, High quality picture
Cons: Back button goes too far

has been good for the most part. Had to restart unplug and restart 6 or 7 times today. tech support is worthless they don't know what they are talking about because if it is not in their script they are totally lost and won't listen to what you are saying. had to figure out how to get it working on my own.
Pros: High quality picture, Compact, Video selection, Built in Wi-Fi, Easy to use
Cons: Have to restart alot, Inconsistent performance, Difficult to set up

This was so easy to setup a child could do it.Works like a charm even on wireless "G"

Our whole family uses the Roku box, each for our own personal preferences. The device is SO EASY to operate: In fact, our preschoolers LOVE that they can grab the Roku remote & turn on their special programs or just music to dance to - takes only seconds.

Roku saves me $1,000 a year

I have been using a Roku for about 6 months now and I have been extremely happy. So happy that I purchased a second one for the bedroom on the Black Friday Sale. Having the two Roku's allowed me to cut off my cable and am saving $85.00 a month on my cable bill.

Lack of content disappointing

I have been using Hulu on my laptop as a replacement for cable. When I saw that I could upgrade to Hulu plus and watch on my new HDTV I was onboard. However upon receiving my Roku and setting it up I was dissapointed to learn that many of the shows I watch are available for Internet only and will not play on the Roku. So then I rejoin Netflix to learn the same thing, all of the shows and movies I want to watch are not available on Roku, with Hulu it is online only, with Netflix it is DVD only. Very disapointed. The shows that do play on Roku from Hulu look great, crystal clear picture and I have not had any of the buffering problems other have reported. It does say on the website that you should have at least 3mbps and 5mbps is preferrable for HD. I have it hooked up wirelessly to the network and with the HDMI cable to the tv. Still had I known about the lack of current programming available, I probably would not have made the purchase.
