This Roku XD will be greatly improved by enabling a subtitle/close captioning feature for those of us who are hearing impaired. Foreign films do have subtitles, but U.S. films do not. Therefore, I am pretty much limited to foreign films. folks not hearing impaired would have no issue. Please fix.

Cons: Lacks closed captions

buzzing is annoying

This was everything I expected. But when hooked up with an HD cable a very high pitched buzzing sound is heard when the box is on.

Use it primarily for Netflix viewing. Haven't tried all the other options yet but the ones we did try we liked them.

I'm retired and watch a lot of TV. Since premium channels are getting too costly, I decided to experiment with Netflix and the Roku. Set-up was a nightmare and it took 5 hours. This could have been avoided had the instructions stated to keep pressing the TV/Video button until the Roku icon appeared after all connections were made. I've watched one Netflix movie and the picture and sound were great.
Pros: Compact, Reliability, High quality picture, Built in Wi-Fi, Great value, Easy to use
Cons: Difficult to set up, Want more video choices

Great for finding TV programs you thought no longer existed except in memory Extensive library of mini-web programs large radio music/talk show selection

Great product, difficult set-up

Great product once set-up, but wireless set-up tool forever! I don't recall going through such difficulties with my older model. I finally had to hook it up directly to the router, let it go through its updates, then set up the wireless. Despite the set-up cons, I love my Rokus for Netflix-viewing. I also use the Pandora app as background music when I have guests.

Cons: Difficult to set up
