It Really Hit The Spot

This product makes excellent use of my otherwise under used high-speed internet connection. I feel like I'm finally getting my money's worth out of my provider.
Pros: Easy to use, Easy to set up, Compact, Great value
Cons: Inconsistent performance, Needs a true "off" state

So far so good. Only downfall with the roku xd is that there is no power button on the device or remote control to turn it off. So you either have to leave it on all day every day which is rediculous or manually unplug to conserve energy. Just a shocking design flaw in my opinion.
Pros: Reliability, Great value, Easy to set up, Built in Wi-Fi, Compact, High quality picture, Easy to use
Cons: Want more video choices

This is the one product that you need for your home entertainment arsenal! After being extremely disappointed with all the blu-ray players (and returning several) that promise all the bells and whistles, I finally decided on the Roku player after staying with friends for an extended vacation. Their player was set up in their guest room, and I honestly didn't ever want to leave the room! I had the world of Netflix and Hulu + at my fingertips! All I can say is, "What are you waiting for?"

Bought one as a gift and saw how great it was. Got one for myself and loved it. Gave one to my college-aged daughter and she things it is wonderful. Just gave one each to my 76 year-old parents and my technology-challenged sister-in-law. Had my folks running in 5 minutes and building netflix lists in under 10. It just doesn't get better than that.

Nice little package,also have kodak streaming box. Each has advantages, but roku has a lot more channels. I also have Netflix, HuluPlus (trial) and Playon. Playon has streaming (beta) that works well with Roku. Except for remote, I really like this box and I recommend it.
Pros: Compact, Great value, Easy to use
Cons: Cheap remote needs volume

I really enjoy the channel selections. I listen to many lecture downloads through MP3tunes and it is great. Had a problem with the sound through an HDMI connection but not the RCA. Returned unit and miss it....but getting the replacement has been nothing but a headache dealing with customer service. Two weeks and still no replacement unit.
