Although I've had a problem with my DSL being slow which requires resets of my modem, router and Roku I've really enjoyed the convenience of the Roku.
Pros: Great value, High quality picture, Easy to set up, Easy to use, Compact
Cons: Want more video choices, Need fast internet service

This is the second household ROKU. The first, which I bought to go with (enhance) my NetFlix subscription, I've had for quite some time -- easily over a year. No question Roku works. I got this new one for the n-wireless (as opposed to g in the old one) ... works great -- signal goes right around, or through, the steel and concrete walls of my house. The only problem is the remote -- they changed it slightly and the center ("OK") button is dicey at best. Otherwise, a great buy.
Pros: Easy to use, Built in Wi-Fi, Compact, Easy to set up, Reliability
Cons: Poorly Designed Remote

Problem with HDMI

Roku player has a problem communicating with some HD televisions via the HDMI cable. From the forums and my own trial and error, it appears the TV is looking for one type of color match and Roku is sending another. I have a Proview TV, which are no longer available and have no technical support. It is up to Roku to fix this problem. Of course, I could go out and buy another tv! The other option would be to upgrade to the XDS and use the YPBPR connection to get the same resolution without HDMI. Of course, that means I have to spend more money.
Pros: Reasonable cost, Easy to use and set up, Small Footprint
Cons: HDMI-TV bad communication, Want more video choices, Need fast internet service, Inconsistent performance
