Quick and easy

Roku has ben a great addition to my TV viewing. Set up was quick, although I did have to email chat and get help with a no picture issue. All was resolved easily by switching ends on the USP cord. It still only took about 10 mins. Pic quality is excellent, movie download time is less than a minute. There could be a larger movie selection on Netflix, but that's not a Roku issue. All in all, very happy I took the plunge.
Pros: Easy set up, Built in Wi-Fi, High quality picture, Great value, Compact
Cons: Want more video choices

I use Roku primarily for Netflix and it works great. It is so easy to use that my 8 year old figured it out within 5 mins. Setup was super easy and took no time at all. I'm also considering Hulu Plus in lieu of cable!

For some reason I hate watching movies on my computer so I was not into the streaming options netflix offered. I stumbled across this roku unit and thought i'd give it a try after reading positive reviews and with netflix increasing it's rates, it could be a cheaper alternative. The picture quality can vary from movie to movie and on a few occasions the movie stopped to reload. That can be frustrating. Also I was watching television series that all of a sudden became unavailable. Overall the premium movies may not available for streaming yet (lets work on it netflix) I use it mostly for television shows and they have a fair amount of those. I can wait for my movies to arrive by mail. In closing, it's well worth the price.

Cons: Picture quality at times, Inconsistent performance, Want more video choices

Much Better Than I Expected

This is a great product and has changed the way that we watch TV. Hands down, the biggest drawback is the present instant video selection, which we are counting on getting better in the next few months. The search feature is also pretty clumsy and a 'browse' option would probably be nice, just in case you don't know exactly what you want to watch. I think making YouTube available through the Roku is a no-brainer, but was surprised to find that I needed to add it as a private channel. Overall, these complaints are more like wishes.... because I am ultimately very happy with the product.
