Do not be fooled by Roku's simplicity or its dirt cheap price. Roku is so easy to use and set up, yet it provides an amazing interface for streaming vids and more. This was a gift, and I've already bought additional Rokus + I've already recommended to others.

Better audio and video quality

The Netflix streams are of better visual and audio quality than the satellite service which is our other source for TV, provided we have enough of our 1.5 meg bandwidth free to get to three (of four) dots. This is standard def we're comparing, not HD in either case - I'm someone who still prefers the color gamut on a good CRT to any of the flat panels. Also, Pandora audio quality on the Roku is far better than the fidelity of satellite radio.

I use my Roku XD everyday. I LOVE having Netflix available anytime without my laptop connected to the tv. The additional channels are also wonderful. I use the Newscast channel often and the Crunchy Roll channel. I have recommended this product to my friends and family many times.

Cons: Need fast internet service

Great groduct, great value

I have used Netflix streaming for a long time via computer and then through a Wii, the Netflix interface is much better on Roku. All product claims are true except it takes LESS than five minutes to set-up (although setting up accounts and linking to the various services takes a bit longer). I like being able to watch all the CNET podcasts/videos on my TV instead of dinky computer or iPod. I am not 100% sold on Hulu Plus yet but that's Hulu's problem. I am extremely happy with this purchase and have used it daily, I haven't watched regular cable tv programming since it arrived. I love it!

Was looking for a better way to get the show that i was getting on my computer like HGTV,AE,History and TruTV but have found nothing good thought HULU plus, or any of the networks on ROKU. I go back to the computer to see the show that I like.
Cons: Want more video choices

LOVE THIS. THE COMPUTER DOES NOT HAVE TO BE LEFT ON TO USE. ON VERY RARE OCCASSION, IT FREEZES UP. ON THE FEW TIMES IT OCCURRED, I SIMPLY UNPLUGGED ROKU, WAITED FIFTEEN SECONDS OR SO, THEN PLUGGED BACK IN.....A SMALL INCONVENIENCE WHEN YOU CONSIDER THE RIDICULOUS PRICE OF SATELLITE OR CABLE TV. NOT TO MENTION, MUCH BETTER VIEWING CHOICES!
