Not as good as the Old Players

The Old player always ran a sreeen saver "ROKU" so it was easy to find on the video choices on the TV set. New one doesn't seem to have that option so it can take a while to find location on the TV video choices
Pros: Easy to set up, Compact

GREAT PRODUCT. DID KNOW HOW MUCH I WOULD USE IT, BUT USING IT EVERYDAY. LOVE THE CONVENIENCE. PLAN ON BUYING A SECOND ONE FOR THE BEDROOM.

My wirelesss router is in the other end of the house from our main TV. I was expecting to hardwire the connection and amazed that the reception was perfect via Wi-Fi. I am very pleased with every aspect of my Roku.

Great alternative to cable

I bought this because Netflix was changing its charges and this seemed better value. In reality, I have gained instant access to movies and news programs like a video podcast of NBC Nightly News. It definitely is great value - I look forward to seeing more channel options added in the days ahead

Amazonn HD Videos had no sound. Netflix works great.

More Than I Imagined

I have a TV in the guest room that I never bothered to connect to U-verse because of the expense of another box. I can easily move my Roku to that room in the event that I have overnight guests. Roku gives me the option to watch what I want when I want to watch it. Because I can access Hulu Plus and Netflix a library of movies and TV shows are readily available. I'm thinking of downgrading to the very basic TV level and supplementing with Netflix, Hulu Plus and MLB. I also enjoy Pandora and Internet Radio. I have had Roku for about a month now and continue to explore new features and channels. It's a great find! I wish my mother had Internet service. She would love it.
