I bought a Sony Bravia 46" XBR9 tv that supposedly was Netflix ready. However, hd movies were unwatchable. The constant buffering every few minutes drove me crazy. Couldn't take it for more than 10 minutes. So I tried a Roku. The setup was a breeze. I've watched a dozen or so Netflix hd movies without any trouble. Once it re-buffered for a minute or two half way through a movie, but that was it. I highly recommend the Roku player.
Pros: Compact, Built in Wi-Fi, High quality picture, Easy to set up, Easy to use

I had to use an ethernet cable to up grade itself in order to use the wireless. I have a G router.It's working on the wireless now.
Pros: High quality picture, Reliability, Video selection, Easy to use, Compact, Built in Wi-Fi, Easy to set up, Great value
Cons: Difficult to set up

They just keep making it better and better. This week I was able to add a word-game that's fun and also a Christmas music station..and let's not forget the Yule Log that burns forever. Easy to use, and a great value.

Often times it does not find my wi-fi connection and I have to reboot in order for it to connect. Other than this! I love it and I'm so happy about my purchase. At first we tried to hook the laptop to the bedroom TV (where we don't have cable) to watch instant Netflix but it was bulky and the computer battery was always running out. I don't remember how I found this little gem but it's worth every penny. I do wish more movies/tv shows were made available.

Cons: Need fast internet service, Want more video choices

The Roku is awsome! The picture quality is outstanding, it is very user friendly, and setup was a breeze. It sure beats paying a high priced cable or satelite bill.

I love the combination of Hulu plus and net flix, I plan on cancelling cable and just using roku so I can watch my favorite current and past shows when ever I want to instead of waiting for network broadcast and reruns. Ialso love the private channels, like you tube or pandora for music. Its everything I expected and more, looking forward to more video selections, particularly a fear.net channel I am huge horror fan and would to be able to watch content from fear.net through roku. Get Roku you want regret it.

We've had the Roku HD for a few months now and absolutely love it for Netflix and Pandora. It was very easy to set up and it's easy to use, as advertised. You also can't beat the price if the main thing you're looking for is a way to stream with Netflix. I would definitely recommend buying the HDMI cord separately if you have an HDTV and I would connect to your internet using an ethernet cord and not relying on wifi. I think these two extra things have added to our seamless and successful Roku use!

This unit is great for newer movies but it seem to have trouble loading older movies.
Pros: Such a small device that, Compact, Great value, Easy to use
Cons: Inconsistent performance, Want more video choices
