An amazing product, simple to set up and use, at an attractive price. Such a huge change to have a product exceed expectations while delivering a useful service. The Roku box arrived in days and took only 30 minutes to configure and watch the first netflix movie! It took longer to pop the popcorn and make coffee. The other apps offer more to content to enjoy, most for free. I miss Hulu though, the subscription version is the only choice now. The Roku is small and easy to move for best wireless signal if necessary. I have a wireless G DSL router (6mbps)for the Roku box located on a lower floor. My 37" 1080p HDTV is connected to the Roku via HDMI cable. The image quality is always as good as cable, no pixilating or stalling. Get it- you will love it, 30 days to return if you don't.
Pros: Easy to use, High quality picture, Great value, Easy to set up, Compact, Solid, Built in Wi-Fi, Simple
Cons: No Hulu

Other than Netflix and Pandora, the content providers kind of suck, ie. poor quality public-domain films and poorly produced cooking shows, (but what the heck, they're free). BTW, we have only 1Mbps service and experience no hiccups!
Pros: Reliability, Built in Wi-Fi, Easy to set up, Easy to use
Cons: Want more video choices

I got this for my mother. She had a stroke and moved in with me. She watches a LOT of TV and wanted the premium movie channels from our cable provider. I rarely watch TV and this was a great fit for us. She is physically and mentally challenged now and has had not one problem with the player. It would be nice to have newer movies for her but for the price of NetFlix I'm not complaining. The only complaint I have about set up is there seems to be a step missing in the instructions or i just did not see it. I couldn't get the player to work and had to call customer service and even though I had a bit of a hard time understanding the young man he was very patient with me and stayed with me until I had the player set up and then walked me thorough the NetFlix connection as well.
Pros: Great value, Easy to use, Reliability, Built in Wi-Fi, High quality picture, Compact
Cons: Want more video choices

We recently dropped our cable TV and compromised by getting a Roku player. We're using Netflix as our primary source of TV-based entertainment now. The Roku is easy to set up and use, even if you live in the stone age like us and haven't graduated to a flat screen TV the size of a tennis court. Picture quality is usually acceptable. Occasionally, I have noticed horizontal lines and bands on screen. The sound quality is usually adequate but sometimes the sound seems muffled. In fairness, these issues may be related to the fact that we have this new-fangled doohickey hooked up to an ancient 15-year-old 26" Magnavox CRT television set with questionable life-expectancy. Time will tell- if I ever have the extra coin and overcome my fear of Orwellian/dystopian society and finally spring for a flat screen TV. All in all, Roku has been pretty good so far and has helped us wean ourselves off of the evils and joys of broadcast cable television programming.
Pros: Easy to use, Compact, Reliability, Video selection, Don't need a special TV, Easy to set up, Built in Wi-Fi
Cons: Sound and picture quality
