should be able to surf the internet.should have a much betterand stronger remote control.should be able to scan dolly parton in a bikini.since this was developed to have fun with.start providing the fun.i can only scan what you provide and what i have to purchase,choice is very limited.i bought this unit at radioshack.it was well worth it.have a merry christmas.

This player is very good for the money. I think you should have a player with a built in hard drive.

Love Affair

This product is better than we ever expected. A large amount of content is already available and we are excited about additional content which seems to be in development. Within an hour we were surfing Netflix, streaming photos from Picasa, watching NBC nightly news and more. We plan to buy a Roku for every TV in the house.

I use it for the Bedroom and on a secondary TV. When I purchased it, I was concerned about how the picture quality would be. To my great suprize, the picture quality and performance far exceeded my expectations.

Excellent value, some bugs....

I am glad I discovered this device as cable TV has become too expensive and I have deleted all my premium channels. I bought one device for my upstairs bedroom and I have been mostly satisfied as it works well and is easy to set up. I experienced some "popping" noises over my tv speakers for a day when I switched to an HDMI cable. When I swapped out the cable for another and there was a firmware update, the problem went away. I have since ordered a second box for my livingroom. It is a great value for the money and there are more channels being added all the time besides netflix. If you're a techie, you can discover "hidden" channels on the internet to plug in if you know the right access codes. Totally legal. I highly recommend this box, it makes a great gift, it's small and compact, and there are tons of movies and programs to get dirt cheap or free. It's dang near a perfect device. If the popping noise incident hadn't happened, I would have given it 5 stars.
