I want one for downstairs now!

I use my Roku primarily for watching Netflix in my bedroom upstairs. The set up was super simple and I really appreciate the compact size of the unit. I have owned it for a little over a month now, have used it almost every single night, and have had one instance of a Netflix video interrupting from a change in the internet. I even take the Roku downstairs when I want to watch Amazon On Demand or Netflix because the Xbox 360 has continual interruptions during video; at least one per 22 minute show. The Roku has proven far more reliable in that respect. Eventually, I will buy one for dedicated downstairs use.

When the Roku works properly, it is great. The problem is that it is very inconsistent. Last night I could not download anything from Netflix. Rather than call Roku support, which I usually don't find very helpful; I switched over to an LG DVD player with a WiFi connection and was able to download from Netflix just fine. So clearly it wasn't either a network problem or a Netflix problem. This is not the first time that this has happened.
Pros: Easy to set up
Cons: Inconsistent performance
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

This really makes watching TV fun...no more pouring over the TV guide, hoping something you want to see is on. Now, you choose what you want, when you want. This makes me wonder what I need cable for. Have thoroughly enjoyed this little box!
