The Pandora feature beats using the radio. You get to play only the music you like without any commercials. It doesn't get any better than that!
Pros: Great value, Compact, Easy to use, Built in Wi-Fi, Easy to set up

Never Got The Wireless To Work

The setup was easy enough once I connected it to a wired internet connection. The Roku would never connnect to my Belkin WGR614 wireless router regardless of what I did (and yes I'm familiar with networking.) The customer service was responsive but didn't have anything new to tell me. Connecting it to a wired connection required me to move all my internet connection hardware from one end of the house to the other. What a pain! If the wireless had worked as promised I would have given this 5 stars.
Pros: High quality picture, Video selection, Easy to use
Cons: Difficult to set up, Wireless doesn't work

The Roku is great as a Netflix player for the living room. It would be nice if it supported plain old Hulu instead of just Hulu Plus. And it would be nice if I could play videos I have saved on my local network. The quality of the Roku box with Netflix and other channels has been great.

Cons: Need fast internet service, Want more video choices

Best Cable-Cutting Box for the Buck!

Using the Roku XD to add much more variety of stuff to watch on the couch since cutting cable tv. Especially Netflix since I don't always want to be tied to an Xbox Live Gold subscription on my Xbox 360 to watch Netflix. Love all the other media sources available too, like news feeds via the Newscaster and other channels, Leo Laporte on TWiT tv, Revision 3, all the podcasts via MediaFly, and YouTube via private channel. Allowing 3rd parties to create channels, both public and private, is genius. That SDK and active updating of the firmware, features and capabilities is a very real selling point to me. Roku is the cable-cutting box to beat! (See the 'Product Suggestions' for my wishlist of things to improve or add to an already awesome box...)

Cons: Sometimes freezes up, Want more video choices, Inconsistent performance

Use it to download stuff from Netflix. Especially love the tv episodes where I can download an entire season at one time.
