Roku XD player is great

I use my Roku everyday .. I rarely watch regular TV anymore. I have experienced few if any problems with the Roku .. If my internet is flaky , then I might get fluctations. Love getting NEtflix etc.. I have only one Roku player and move it daily from one TV to the other TV with no problems at all. The set up was very easy and I am not a tech or IT person at all. I tried setting up a blu ray first , then gave up on that. Roku was so much easier .
Pros: Easy to set up, Great value, Reliability, Video selection, Built in Wi-Fi, High quality picture, Compact, Easy to use
Cons: Need fast internet service

Away with cable bills

Had problems at first with wireless, but it was my three year old router that was bad. Got wireless N and now it is ever a problem unless I lose internet, which hardly goes out. I find watching different things that you just can't get on cable. Lots of choices to choose from. Internet radio is good I listen to various religous shows and music. Cracle is good for old movies and vintage tv. I find there is adaquate amount of choices. If you not happy with roku your just picky. This is not for current tv shows but you can get nightly news with the news channel just not local. I am replacing cable and putting up hdtv antena for local channels. Thanks Roku - MP

Took this out of the box and it only took about 3 minutes before I was looking at hundresd of things to watch for FREE!Also, being a NETFLIX subscriber I have access to even more movies and programs thru my monthly subscription. I can't believe all that is out there besides cable tv.

Exactly What We Needed

We had never streamed before and didn't have an XBox, etc, nor did we want to spend the money. This was the perfect solution for us - great value, easy to install and go! So happy we chose a ROKU.

I'm old and this is new and easy

This is to keep me from carrying my laptop around watching movies. Luckily, I have a laptop with a HDMI connection. I spent a small amount of time with an on-line chat tech. She was very helpful. My only problem was either a loose HDMI cable or trying to use my 'guest' access to my router. I noticed that my cable would loosen when I moved the box. It was easier having a computer in front of the TV while doing the set-up and synching. You are getting codes from both. Now, I just sit down in front of TV and change the 'input' and start watching my movies or TV shows. This is way faster than moving my laptop from desk to living room. Be sure to have a credit card handy during the set-up. No charges are/were applied since I did not purchase any added service. I already have NetFlix and Pandora. So far, after two days, I have found no problems and am spending too much time in front of the TV. The picture is high quality.

Great Product, Cheap Price

I got it to replace services provided by satellite programming. I downgraded my satellite service to the 120 from 250 channels and replaced them with this great little box. Got Movies and another service in its place and still had money left over.
Pros: High quality picture, Compact, Easy to use, Built in Wi-Fi, Great value
Cons: Kind of difficult to set

We LOVE our Roku

We have been without cable or satellite now for almost 2 years...I am SO glad we found the roku because now, we can watch programs again. We are constantly streaming netflix, not just for us, but also for our kids. We will be getting a second box for our bedroom.

Cons: Want more channels, Want more video choices, Want local channels
