This is the best coffee maker ever, never bitter, always taste so good. It has great features too. You can program for the next day, set the temperature of the carafe, make it bold or regular, & has a clean feature. Plus they last forever. My last extreme brew lasted me over 10 years and the only reason I replaced it was I broke the carafe and it cost so much that I thought I should replace the whole thing. Great buy and I highly recommend it!!

Improvement over previous models w/ added features

Nice styling with stainless steel finish/clad on all sides. Solid design. Takes the best features of my previous 12 cup cuisinant coffee maker and improves on them. Love the Bold feature. Viewing port for water level is a great addition and it does not appear to leak or leave condensate on the counter which my previous version seemed to do. So far so good.

Very good product. Easy. Intuitive. Fast. Great coffee. But.... the hot plate turns off after an hour, which is too soon 75% percent of mornings.

When my model suddenly quit working to my surprise I was told they no longer make it, but i could select from a couple comparable models free of charge. This one does all the things my older one had done, but also allows you to adjust the temperature on the warming plate and the strength of the coffee. It is a great unti. I am so pleased that I selected Cuisinart and will always continue to do so.
