Extreme Brew setting on BOLD for slow strong brew

This is my 2nd Extreme Brew. I love the BOLD setting and use it with fresh ground Starbucks set on cappuccino grind. Then I had some dark chocolate. I like it strong. The slow brew makes a huge difference when set to Bold.

Even the warranty replacement unit leaks the first time we used it! I would not recommend it to anyone. The design on the internals is such that the excess water in the top section leaks past the inner filter basket and drips water onto the hot plate

I read a lot of reviews before I purchased this coffee maker. I'm really happy with this one. I've had 2 Coffee on Demand coffee makers. I had issue's with both of them so I didn't want to purchase a third one. BTW - I purchased a Cuisinart food processor when they first came out and I'm still using it! That's a lot of years of service from a small appliance.
