The wifi is slow and remote control doesn't work well

Samsung LED 7000 series tv has great picture quality but the wifi connection is very slow. The remote control that comes with the tv looks amazing but it does not work properly. The remote control is a two sided remote but the keyboard side does not work right!!! The tv is slow in picking the signal from the remote.
Today I changed out the battery in the remote and one of the batteries blew up. After hearing a sudden pop in the remote the remote stopped working. I pulled the battery holder out to find out that one of the batteries blew up, with the rest of the batteries extremely hot to the touch.
This would be an amazing tv if samsung had a better OS for their tv. The tv is very slow when connecting to the internet. The remote control design is great but it doesn't work!!!!!!
I called Samsung and they have a great customer support that assisted me with my problem with the remote. They said they will be sending me a new remote.
Pros: Built-in speakers, Bright display, Realistic color, Lightweight, great design
Cons: Did not meet expectations, operating system is slow, remote control does not work well, wifi connect is slow
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

This is by far the best tv I have ever owned! Crystal clear picture and the 3d is amazing. I love this tv. Great job Samsung.
Pros: Inexpensive, Realistic color, Lightweight, Bright display

This TV has the best picture quality. On HD channels the picture looks live. I like how the TV is thin. So far best TV I have ever owned.
