Crisp picture and clear speakers with huge utterly borderless display make for eye candy that will lead to diabetes. Because of this television I refuse to watch anything not in HD. Turning every program from 2D to 3D quality was fun for the first 2wks, though unless a movie or show was specifically made for 3D viewing it isn't that amazing. The Smarthub feature with all those great apps are quite amazing, though a small setback is that the qwerty keyboard doesn't always work for all typing situations. The youtube app works a little awkward. Otherwise looking forward to more apps for this wonderful television. Along with several HDMI ports, Usb , and designated computer connections, it allows a whole world of hardware connections, from cell phone to cameras, etc. This TV doesn't disappoint, I've tried. The only thing that makes this TV bad is the limited quality shows that airs on cable/sat.

Best LED 55" For The $$$...

I have been looking over 55 LED TV's for months. Could not find one with better specs than this one in this price range. Picture was almost perfect for me after just turning it on. Once tweaked the picture is awesome. Have not seen a better one yet...

Best 55 Inch TV- Amazing picture, Menu and Design

So Far its been 2 weeks and i am enjoying this amazing 55 inch, 1080p, 240Hz, 3D TV. I had a 32 inch Samsung TV and recently upgraded to 55 inch TV. The picture quality is crisp, clean and unbeatable. No other TV can match this 25 million contrast ratio, color and richness. Tons of ways to customize the picture quality and sound. The thin bezel makes a huge difference. Along with energy savings and easy menu option this makes the TV a true champion. The remote is a bliss, it operates with breeze. The one change I want Samsung to include is a pair of medium and small size 3D glasses along with the adult 3d glasses. I would definitely recommend this product if you want amazing picture and usability. This TV wont be obsolete for another 10 years. Samsung is taking technology to great limits. Now i need to buy a 3d player and a samsung internet tv camera. WIll update the review after my experiments.

Brilliant Picture

Musician here looking for a high end picture to match my audio- easy set up, great features and I am a true believer of 3D now-- ( i thought it was hype) Once you see this picture and depth you will fall in love.

The picture quality of my new Samsung 55" LED 8000 Series Smart TV: Unbelievable! I am not new to big screen HD TV. My (other brand) 48 inch plasma died after six years and I was devastated. I decided to go for the best rated, highest quality, latest technology TV on the market. I am glad I did. I thought the 3D feature was just a gimmick - maybe it will end up that way, I don't know - but the picture quality when playing 1080dpi BluRay is a real thrill! The set is 50 pounds lighter than my plasma and less than an inch thick. My only complaint would be the placement of the USB and other inputs and outputs: When mounted close to the wall it is very difficult to reach these ports. A better choice would be to place the USB, AV, and Camera Card slots on the edge of the TV frame.
