chic design and cool features but picture quality lacking

i love everything about this tv except that i can't get the cloudy background to clear up...would like start up screen & background to be darker
Pros: Bright display, Lightweight
Cons: Did not meet expectations
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

After months of researching for the best TV I concluded that this TV on top of delivering a great image, it is a beautiful object thanks to the thin bevel, the location of the buttons and the images it uses to operate it. The Remote control is a nice piece of design as well. I did not give it a 5 star because when the image is almost completely black, all four corners appear lit with a fading light towards the center. It is very sensitive to the DSL speed. Although I have high internet speed, it doesn't seem to be fast enough for some applications which could probably be fixed with more buffer memory into the TV set.
Pros: Built-in speakers, Bright display, Realistic color, Lightweight, beautiful design
Cons: Poor quality

This 8000 series, LED Smart TV is truely amazing, the picture quality is excellent, The almost frame-less screen makes this TV look like a window or a piece of art work when it's mounted on a wall. It was a snap to hook up and get it going, I took me all of 17 minutes from opening the box to watching a 3D movie, which included connecting my surround sound system as well. I love it, I am sure you will too. BUY IT!!!

Tv is great, I like the web functionality. Easy to use and set up. 3-D is too cool!
Would have liked a Black stand vs. Silver
