Great tv! jsut got it a month and 3D is amazing. Samsung fan for life.

Samsung 55" 8000 series

I was about to check out and the salesman at the local retail store had me sold on a Sony Bravia. The salesman was a greenthumb so he was just doing what he was told. Sell the most expensive item. As I walked around the store looking at the other TV's, I asked another salesman if there were any deals going on in the store. He walked me over to the Samsung TV display and told me I would receive 2 pairs of 3D glasses and a 3D Blueray player. He then told me there was a newer model out, (8000 Series). I was sold. Plus the fact it was $600 less. Sony wasn't offering any free add-ons. When I took the TV home, the setup took only 10 minutes. When i turned the TV on The picture quality blew me out of the water. I get excellent comments from every client who comes over. Thank You Samsung for making such an awesome & reliable product.
Pros: Bright display, Realistic color, Lightweight
Cons: remote is not universal compatable
I would recommend this to a friend!

Happy until last night

I have been very happy with this TV until last night. Next month it will be one year old and last night 10-13-2011, all of the HDMI ports failed. I am expecting a service call from Samsung today or Monday to schedule an appointment for repair. I hope I don't run into this again.

Cons: Did not meet expectations
