For 3d its terrific, for movies slow action picture is great. For fast action sports it leaves a lot to be desired lots of blur. For internet its good.

55" D8000 Smart TV - Mixed Review
on August 5, 2011

TV has not met expectations. Far too complex to use and on line instruction manual just adds to the problem. Samsung Aps lacking. Screen reflects light similiar to a Plasma TV. Very annoying. 3D is actually pretty good and, if the offerings expands then it may be worthwhile. Overall, disappointed in the TV.
Pros: Realistic color, Lightweight
Cons: Did not meet expectations, screen reflects light as does the bezel, samsung apps lacking
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

picture,3d,3d glasses
on July 31, 2011

I find that the picture, at times has small squares and the dark(black)colors has small purple squares...making a fuzz, almost. The picture is sometime fuzzy. It is a 3D tv and I am not very happy with the 3d effects or the fact that I have to use expensive 3d glasses to view a picture that is not high quality. I will give it a little longer...Ive yet to try it on the net or any apps. The remote is kinda hard to get used to.It is heavy and the shape is differant. One more thing.I thought that it was a 240 hz when I looked at it in the store. It is a 120hz....bummed me out.
Pros: apps., thin edge and stand
Cons: Poor quality, Did not meet expectations, 3d not very good, can only use one type of expensive glasses.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

this is the best tv i ever seen so far love the remote contoll, steem and picture
Samsung's new 8000 series is exceptionaL The picture clarity is great, the overall frame is thin. Watching Avatar on this TV really shows the quality and depth.
This TV is definately a must have. Blu-Ray movie video quality is on a totally different level. I want to go back and watch my entire library again. The 3D is awesome. Resident Evil: Afterlife had me ducking from glass, slow-motion bullets, and blood splatter the whole movie. I do suggest getting some Monster 900 3D Max Ultimate Speed HDMI cables, that support 240 to 480 hertz refresh rates, to connect your components. Also, this unit has 4 HDMI inputs in the rear of it to connect your components to.
If you are using an A/V receiver, I highly suggest not using the receiver's HDMI inputs. I have a Pioneer Elite SC-35 and the video quality is still at its purest connecting directly to the TV. Just invest in some Monster Fiber Optic Cables to run from your componets to the receiver for audio. You will not be disappointed in the theater quality sound.
Overall, this TV is one of the best brands out there. With built-in Wi-Fi for firmware updates and dynamic picture quality, you can't go wrong with this purchase. Two words "Buy It".
Cons: some hd games struggle with tv's refresh rate
I would recommend this to a friend!

This was the only 55" LED TV on the market that would fit my 50" horizontal space limitation, thanks to beautiful bezel design. So far all features have worked flawlessly. Picture is gorgeous!
