Excellent picture.

The automated features of this TV are great. It has a very nice picture. The TV set up easily. I love the narrow frame. This seems to be a quality product.The one downside is the manual describing how to pair the remote. It does not state that you need to hold the remote within eight inches of the TV to perform the pairing process. I had to call Samsung for help. They responded quickly and accurately to my problem.
Pros: Bright display, Realistic color, Lightweight

This Samsung LED 3-D TV has everything I could want. The HD picture is clear, vibrant, and simply awesome. It makes watching TV a new experience. Three-D Movies come alive right in your own media room! Plus, you can connect to the internet and read your e-mail right there on your tv. It incorporates the newest technology and brings it into the comfort of your home. I would definitely recommend it to others.

This television has great clarity, definition, and color. We love the screen with the thin frame surround, the all picture view is awesome! Thank you for a great product!
The 3D feature is better than the last few 3D films we saw at the movie theatre, you can not beat that.

Stunning picture, great Smart features - you will not be dissapointed when you bring this TV home. 3D imaging is fantastic, the 2D to 3D engine actually works great on non 3D source material too.
Pros: Bright display
Cons: not inexepensive

Audio Return Channel Implementation is troubled

The TV looks great and I have little to add to what has been said. I do want to warn anyone planning to use the Audio Return Channel feature. It requires you to turn on the AnyNet+ feature that basically start taking control of your receiver. This is a problem because the TV changes your source on your receiver when you do not want or expect it to. This basically forced me to shut this off which impacts my ability to use the TV for more then a dump TV without messing with the settings so I can get sound. Samsung's implementation.has a lot to be desired and it is a shame that something so tiny impacts people ability to use the product. If this is a feature you plan to use then I would recommend a different TV.

Switching from Plasma

I'd read and seen a number of the "problems" with LCD/LED TVs compared with plasma. I have to say that both in the showroom and at home, this TV surpassed my concerns.
Viewing angle is excellent in that I found no fading of the picture within the available room viewing spots----in the store, compared to other brands, this wider angle was obvious.
Fast movements didn't seem to blur or look odd.
When I first tried the Smart TV (Internet access) things were a bit spotty using Wifi, but a minor adjustment in the position of the router took care of that.
We can't get over the clarity of the picture. It's as if all shows we're watching were being shown live---there is no loss of quality from recorded TV shows.
No, the sound quality isn't as good as on our plasma---BUT, that's a choice we were willing to make, since this 55" TV sits in the same sized opening that was once filled with a 43" TV with larger speakers. A small compromise for that much more picture. Plus, the TV has numerous adjustment in sound quality so you can easily find the best listening for you.

Wow what a great tv this is my first smart tv and i love it .. I have the 55d8000 its so cool looking with no boarder ..And the 3D is amamzing you look into the tv like never before .. And my cell phone is thicker how do they make it so small??? love it... to much to list this tv is the way to go.. Yes you will enjoy

Samsung has always amazed me with their products! And this tv is no exception, I have not seen a more pristine, clear, vibrant display than the series 8. The detail and color is out of this world and it is pure perfection. The ultra thin bezel makes the tv 10 times better looking than the others tv's. Plus its super super super thin, it's definitely a keeper. Also the blacks are the best I have seen yet.
