This TV takes home entertainment to a new level. I can't say enough good things about this TV. Do yourself a favor, if you are shopping for a new TV, go to your retailer and compare this one to the others, no question the 8000 series has the best picture. A little more money, but worth every penny. This TV is several levels above the rest. Needs external speakers, but no led TV has a great sound system.
Pros: Bright display, Realistic color, Lightweight, qwerty remote is great

Great Picture and Sound

I have had this TV for 3 weeks. The picture is the best I have ever seen. I have expreinced none of the negative comments in other reviews. The Tv worked great out of the box.
The sound is also very good.
I enjoy the Smart Hub and the online upgrade capability.
The only con is the Samsung logo that is lighted. It can be anoying watching in a dark room.

Top of the line performance with stunning performance and picture quality on 3D or 2D.

This is TV provides an excellent bright pic and the Eco sensor really controls the screen brightness even in a very bright sunny room so that you can enjoy the same excellent quality picture under any conditions. Using the AllShare is a breeze, no wiring required to view the content from your other devices.
Watching football on this TV is a real pleasure, with the clear motion technology, the game comes to live and the TV matches the player’s motion and speed with no hesitation at all. One thing that is also amazing is the 2D to #D conversion. This feature works so well that you might forget that the you are looking at a 3D TV (that is up converting a 2d broadcast!) because the picture looks so real.
There are many amazing features on this TV but most of all the contrast level and how the picture contrast is so amazingly good, I have never seen a TV picture better than this one. Combine the picture quality with the extremely thing slim bezel and you have a TV that as looks incredible when it off as it is when it is on- a great peace of art that really attracts attention.

The TV has other great features such as smart hub and the built in network (which was a breeze to setup) and the great QWERTY Remote that comes with.
The TV is expensive but if you want a high end top of the line TV and you are willing to pay for it, this one really delivers and will know (and SEE) that your money is well spent.

I have had this TV two weeks now and have worked with the settings for the lighting in the room that it is in and have found it to have an incredible picture from all it's sources.
I have compared it to the set I just replaced a Samsung LN52b750 which had a fantastic picture and have found it to be even better. I always had people who would stop in to visit say what a great picture that TV had. Needless to say I am extremely please that Samsung has gotten even better. Most of my viewing is in 2d but, I wanted 3D for my friends and their family. The 3D is awesome! I highly recommend this TV to anyone who wants the best picture quality. The only advice I have is adjust the picture setting for your room lighting to get the best picture quality as this TV can be set for most any room lighting and viewing material, sports, action, movies, and 3D to name some. Taking a few minutes to accomplish this will be it's own reward. This set also works great with a decent home theater set up. If you use a fiber optic cable I recommend setting the out put to Doby on both the TV and Blue Ray player for best sound if you don't have hdmi capability on your receiver. Oh also wanted to mention that this set has virtually no lag between the audio and picture which had to be compensated for on the previous model. Almost forgot to mention the LED lighting generates almost no heat at all (at least that I can feel from the front of it and from the top. The previous model was quite noticeable and a big difference in power consumption with LED only drawing a fraction of what my previous set used.

Great features and Picture

My own mind was made up over years of walking into a store and looking at the TV displays on the wall and from across the store I would see the best picture of all the TVs and upon closer investigation it would be a Samsung model. So when I had to replace my ancient TV I went looking for a Samsung. Found an unblieveable set (55in 3-D); the picture is so good it is like looking out of your front window in your home and quiet honestly it takes a while to get used to.
Pros: Built-in speakers, Bright display, Durable, Realistic color, Lightweight, this is a smart tv ethernet capable 4 hdmi 2 usb
I would recommend this to a friend!

Still exploring most of the features, as I've only had it for a couple of days, but Samsung's picture quality is unbelievable and one of the main reasons I bought it in the first place. The 3D is amazing.
