Most functional TV

The best part is not all the features this set has, but how simple they are to use. The firmware automatically notifies of updates available, and connections are, simply put... SIMPLE! The 3D is awesome, and the glasses are simple to use. Simply put them on! No wires, no batteries... a simple pair of glasses! Who was it that said, "Keep it simple?" Well, the design Teams at LG were listening. Simply put. Their reward? A fantastic product that is simple to use. LG... Life's Good when It's Simple!

Outstanding TV

After 15 years of watching my 19 inch big box TV, I decided to leap into the 21st century and buy a big new flat panel TV and, as long as I was buying a new TV, I might as well get the latest technology - HD and 3D.
I spent hours on-line researching all the brands available and learning the difference between Plasma vs LCD and Interactive 3D vs Passive 3D. Then I went to all the electronic stores and looked at all the TV's hanging on the walls and sitting on the shelves.
Help! I was so overwhelmed, I didn't know what TV to buy!
I took a deep breath and asked myself what made sense for me and my family. I wanted 3D, but I didn't want to spend a fortune on active glasses, so I decided to go with passive 3D. I chose the 55LW5600.
Wow ! I made a great choice.
The 3D picture is fantastic. It is so clear and looks so alive. The 5 of us were so awe struck in watching our first 3D Blu-Ray, that my family has demanded that I go out and buy more 3D movies. I also went out and bought another 2 sets of glasses, cheaply I might add, and now friends can join in the fun. The 3D experience has become a major hit.
The 2D to 3D format is pretty cool. It's not quite 3D, but it does add depth. My wife watched Dancing with the Stars in this mode and loved it and I watched a hockey game and it was great.
We have HD channels on our cable system and that picture is also amazing. Again, very clear and sharp. I don't watch the digital channels anymore unless I have no choice.
Set up was easy. The system recognized the Blu-Ray and the internet. Pretty much, plug it in and go. We have Netflix, which works great, but I haven't spent a lot of time on the other Aps yet. I also have not tried any video games on this TV. We sit about 10 feet from the TV and am glad we bought the 55 inch instead of the 47.
Overall, for the average TV watcher like myself, outstanding TV. To get passive 3D and all the functions found on other TV's, for a great price, the 55LW5600 is the way to go.

The best...ever!

I was really shocked when I brought this guy home. All the movies I have been watching for years all look totally different now. The actors just pop out of the TV and we're talking with no 3d on. With the 3d on the wow factor really kicks in full throttle. Watching sports is now a favorite pass time, when before I would rely on sport center for highlights! Also having the built in Netflix and amazon apps makes me never have to turn on the PS3 anymore unless I plan to watch a 3d blu ray. The magic motion remote is also a very handy piece of equipment for those apps. The TV really is the gold standard for all TV's to come.

Passive 3D At Its Best!

This TV is amazing and at a fantastic price. After months and months of researching all brands/models/types of 3D TVs, I decided on this model by LG. I do not believe there is a better one out there for the price.

Great TV with 3D!

We have had the set for just about a month. We LOVE IT! Great 2D and 3D Pictures. The 2D to 3D conversion is also really cool. Thought I wouldn't use it much but find myself using all the time. Sports (football, Hockey) look real good. No ghosts found by myself. Set up was very easy and quick. Connection to internet with no problems. Speakers are average, but good sound bar with powered sub took care of that. We are having a 3D movie night with about 10 friends next month.

I bought this TV on Thursday and I'm still in love. When I first saw it stood out from the rest by a long shot the picture was clear, the color was vivid, and it just looked amazing! My old TV was a Lg 42", I loved the TV, but I wanted something bigger and I thought it was finally time to upgrade. I have no real bad things to say about it the color is vivid, you can change the picture to you liking with their expert picture, the sound is great I always have mine at 2O and it's loud enough. The 3D is just plain amazing! Seeing "The Lion King" in 3D is jaw dropping and I still can't believe it was a movie that I saw back when I was a child! The smart TV with their wand controller is also great although I have not tried it too much. You can download apps via Wifi or Ethernet connection to your internet. It has Netflix, Youtube, Facebook, Twitter, and a browser built in and there's more to download! All in all this is a TV you're easily going to fall in love with just like I did.

The picture quality is unsurpassed ,bright and clear details.we thought there may be a sound problem and then we went to settings and turned the sound on that was all we needed to do. the 3D is so wonderful .one suggestion is read your manual unless you are very computer savvy .It truly is a smart TV .we also had the energy saver on so the color was going in and out we set it to vivid and no more problems.we are 4 months into our owner ship and we are still amazed .
