Fantastic!

I just purchased the LG 42" HDTV 42LK450. I searched for about six months and read so many reviews, I settled on this TV, and what a wise choice. I have wi-fi via Blu-Ray, and now have Netflix. The clarity and sound are the best I've ever seen. It is loaded with features, easy to install and operate. I'm a tough sell, but I'm very satisfied with my choice. I would recommend LG's products to anyone.

This is probably the best TV I have ever owned.
The picture is very clear and the color very true. It was fairly easy to set up and it works perfectly. I have owned this set for a little over a month now and have had no problems.
I have it on a stand but had condsidered wall mounting it but this was easier. Have installed a blu-ray player and it also works great. Have not yet tried the 3D feature but from what I saw on the demo it lookd great.
All in all this is one teriffic TV!

this is my third LG tv, I just get it and i'm so happy with my purchase. The black colors are wow, the best i have ever seen. If youre looking for a 3d tv without paying huge amount of money buying those glasses, you should try LG. Their app are good as well, the color are the best in this tv. Another great feauture is how easy you can convert any 2d content into 3d, just as easy as pressing a bottom. Another great feature is True Motion wow it makes me feel if im inside of the movie. So far everything is working great.
Pros: Performance, Style/Design, easy to use, Features/Settings, Quality, youtube search, easy to convert 2d to 3d

Best Value in TVs

I am very pleased to recommend this unit to all who are seeking quality, value and ease of operation in a TV. Immediately upon turning on the set for the first time I was completely blown away by the clarity and depth of tone of the picture. And with some fine tuning that was easily accomplished with the user friendly controls everything viewed was as 'real life'. The sound quality is also dynamic. Have not used the 3D as of this review but will do soon. Won't have to purchase any 3D glasses because 4 pair came with the set.

So Satisfied

I am so pleased with this purchase. I think it has great picture quality in both 2D and 3D. I never thought I would buy a 3D TV, just because of the cost for additional glasses. It is hard to imagine making an investment in a TV and then have to spend several hundred more in glasses so the whole family could in enjoy it. The technology of the LG is great and they have made it very affordable. When looking into this TV and the salesmen told me that none of the #D TV's come with glasses and LG and one other, I thought that was insane!!

I am very happy with the overall quality of this product. My only complaint is that the sound does not match the picture quality and will require additional stereo system for most rooms.

Great TV

After extensive research, I decided to go with the 55LW5600. This is my third flat-panel TV and my first LED/3D. Out of the box, the picture looked good, but I made a few adjustments and turned good into great. The sound is much better than I expected after reading countless complaints. The simulated surround is not good, but I've never experienced a TV on which it is good. The build of this TV is fantastic-- well put together and super sturdy, but less than 1.5 inches thick? Awesome. The standard remote is not the most user-friendly thing out there, simply because some of the buttons do not have distinct separation between them, making it very hard to use in the dark. The wand-style motion remote is really cool and works great though. The one thing I am really not a fan of is the TruMotion technology. TruMotion adds depth and clarity to the picture, but kind of messes with my head. It's hard to explain, but it feels like I'm watching actors act on a set, rather than watching a TV program as a whole. Anyway, I shut the TruMotion off and everything is better. With all this plus WiFi for Netflix, YouTube, etc., I give this TV an A+, and I would recommend it to everyone. Even if you are not interested in 3D, this TV is a fantastic choice.

First Impressions

I've had this TV for about a month now and for the most part I am very satisfied. It has an excellent picture, especially in HD. Dish Network doesn't really have 3-D yet so I have not used this feature.
The major negative is the "tinnie" speaker sound.
This is not uncommon with all TV's so I purchased an LG sound bar. This greatly increased the sound quality BUT you need two remotes to use it. I assumed the TV remote would also control the sound bar but could find no way to do it. This makes it quite cumbersome as there are a lot of sound volume variabilities between the stations on Dish Network.
Pros: Quality
