HAVE THE SET FOR ONLY ONE WEEK,WAS A LITTLE DISAPOINTED AT FIRST TILL I RELISED MY CABLE BOX WAS'NT HD, CABLE GUY JUST LEFT AND OH MY GOOONUS LOL I FEEL LIKE THE SHOW IS IN MY FAMILY RM GREAT SOUND GREAT PICTURE COLORS JUMP RIGHT OUT AT YOU.SOUND IS ALMOST LIKE MY SURROUND SOUND FROM MY SONY SOUND SYSTEM,AND WHEN PLAYED THRU MY SOUND SYSTEM BBAAMMMM BUY CANT GO WRONG.
Pros: Built-in speakers, Bright display, Inexpensive, Durable, Realistic color, Lightweight, looks great even off
Cons: none

Sound and Menu

The sound is good until it gets to a part where the bass is loud and the tv starts to rattle. That gets quite annoying and ruins whatever we are watching or listening to. If it would of came with a home theater system, that would fix the problem.
The menu is another thing you can't fix the video quality to fit the apps such as netflix.

Laggy SmartHub, Cheap Plasticy Remote and Pricey

The TV was designed well no doubt but it is too costly considering the fact that its remote is made with delicate cheap plastic and can break easily with moderate use (In my case remote came as defective and 3 buttons did not work). The much advertised SmartHub is soo laggy that its worthless even after the firmware upgrade. I bought this TV to use SmartHub feature (I didn't mind that it doesnt have WiFi since I could use ethernet) but because it lags soo bad I am just planning to use this TV in the guest room plugged into cable box. I have to consider other options for a new TV for the living room where it is most used. Not recommended.

Cons: Poor quality, Did not meet expectations, cheap plasticy remote, super laggy smarthub and appstore, too costly

Overall happy with TV

The only reason I didn't give this TV a 5 is b/c of the sound. The sound is not very good in an open floor plan. We had to invest more money in a sound system. The picture is so awesome and that is why we stuck with it and added the extra sound. The picture is almost startlingly clear till you get used to it. It was like they were filming in my livingroom!
It was very easy to connect using HDMI cables and we are glad we got the one with more HDMI ports.
Pros: Realistic color, Lightweight, Bright display, clear beautiful picture
Cons: sound

Everything we were looking for

We took several weeks and shopped around for different brands and different sizes and kept coming back to the Samsung 55". Weren't really looking for the SmartTV but turns out we really enjoy all the extra features. Awesome TV

I searched high and low for this particular model because I knew it was one of the best ones produced by Samsung. The TV's features and picture quality far outweigh that of other brands with the same specs.
