This is a fantastic tv for someone who wants amazing picture but could care less about 3d and on screen browsers.
I needed to update my tv, having owned a Samsung DLP 56", it just was not impressive anymore and had always had annoyances. The picture was always big but not quite beautiful.
I went to a store just to look and my jaw almost dropped when i saw this model. To be sure, I sought it out at other stores and each time the picture blew every other tv at each store away.
Even more impressive is that its unbelievably thin and light! LED technology truly is THE tv technology these days. Beautiful picture and MONEY SAVING power consumption.
I would like to point out that I have read quite a few reviews that the sound/speakers are lousy. With most tvs I expect this. This model sounds great. I thought I had my system on until I realized it wasn't plugged in. The truth is it won't beat a home theater system, but it comes closer than any other model I've heard of.
So many features. It would take too long to write about them all but this is the most customizable tv I have ever owned picture-wise.
I honestly thought the whole "smart tv" thing would be just a gimmick but surprisingly some of the apps and all really are very convenient. The biggest plus is the Netflix app. Now I don't have to pay an Xbox Live membership PLUS Netflix nor do I have to run a bulky cable from my PC just to watch my queue on my tv.
I also have a Samsung Fascinate smart phone and with the remote app I can control the tv through the wireless network. I can display music/video/pictures from my phone right to the tv in seconds. Pretty neat!
Its NOT wireless out of the box and I understood that. Some people think it is so I want to clear that up. You need to buy either a Samsung or alternative wireless dongle. I decided I would buy a wireless link only AFTER I test drove the network features and felt it would actually be worth it. Well it is.
I guess the only negative I really have is theres no light up logo on the front when the tv is on. Haha I know, stupid but I miss my DLP's little accent light already.
So much more to write about but I'm sure you get the idea. If you don't, basically I LOVE THIS TV!
Still just scratching the surface on this model, but I know I made the best decision.
Pros: Bright display, Inexpensive, Realistic color, Lightweight, everything about it
Cons: nothing
I would recommend this to a friend!

Purchased this TV 2 days ago. The picture is incredible! Playing my console games on it takes a little getting used too due to the size difference between this tv (55") and my previous Samsung which was 37". Details stick out so much more. The only downside is that the screen is a little too reflective. My other screen was matte and showed no reflection at all.. That is the only thing stopping me from giving the design 5 stars. Overall, setup was easy and it hooks up nice to my surround sound with being able to support HDMI 1.4 ARC (Audio Return Channel). Plug ug everything into my receiver and one HDMI to the TV. Love it!
I'm on my third set of this model. The first two had issues. This one seems better, although not perfect. The unit does not include a web-browser. It is easy to get connected to the net however, and Netflix streaming is good. This one seems to have a fairly uniform panel, good brightness, decent shadow detail on darker scenes, and the sound is ample considering how slim the display is.
I would recommend this set IF you get one free of imperfection.
Pros: Bright display, Inexpensive, Lightweight
Cons: Did not meet expectations
I would recommend this to a friend!

Had for 30 days and it broke

Had this TV for 30 days when theTV just turned off by itself and would not come back on. Tech came out a few days later to fix but what concerns me is if this TV breaks again after warranty is done. Read a lot of complaints about Samsung products doing this after we bought it and wish a read them before. Not so sure I would have bought a Samsung.
Pros: Bright display, Realistic color
Cons: broke after 30 days
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

I have had this TV now for a couple of weeks, watched some Blu-Rays on it and some cable HD programming. It is a beautiful TV, with a great picture! I have a Samsung Blu-Ray player with it and I love the interconnectivity of the two devices. Controlling them both is a breeze. When I turn the TV on, it searches for the available signals, so I don't have to change the source manually just to change what I am watching. So far, I am very satisfied!
Pros: Built-in speakers, Bright display, Realistic color
I would recommend this to a friend!

Went in undecided between an LG and Samsung Plasma. The more I looked the more I liked this LED. It sets in my living room with two windows off to the right 5 ft and 6 ft in front of it. The picture is fantastic. The clarity is unbelievable. Several of the scenes on HD tv may not be 3D, but there is diffently depth in the picture. Outstanding Picture.
Pros: Bright display, Realistic color
I would recommend this to a friend!

I did a comparison between LG and Samsung. There was no comparison when TV's were next to each other. Samsung won hands down. TV is easy to operate, great clear speaker, easy to follow instructions for set up. Also very light weight, making hanging on wall a plus. Clear, crisp picture and color.
