Wow what a cooktop!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I had to have my electrician come and rewire to my kitchen cooktop...and I am soooo glad I did. The induction cooktop is great. It heats up quickly, is always cool to the touch, no burned on foods. I cannot say enough. I am enjoying cooking again.

Perfect Cooktop

We bought a complete Whirlpool Gold suite of appliances for our kitchen and could not be happier! We choose Whirlpool after an extensive search of products during the construction of our new home. We based it upon past experiences, reviews of other people and Whirlpools reputation for a quality product. We use the cooktop daily and it performs flawlessly every time. I would, and do, recommend Whirlpool for anyones next appliance purchase.

Good product, could be better

Slider power controls do not go beyond level 8 without several tries.Timer would be better if it would shut off, instead of just blinking, and beeping. Beep not loud enough or persistent enough to hear in other room.Functionality great otherwise. Would sincerely just like to see a good product made better!

Boost Field DOA

The single field with the boost was DOA!We had the Range version of this cooktop and it was WAY better, we loved it!!In the range version ALL fields have the boost function, the cook-top version only has 1 field with it.The other big field became cloudy from the inside after a loud bang, not sure if it is still safe to use.We are very disappointed with this one!
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Good cooktop

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have had this for a few weeks and enjoy it very much. However it took three induction ready pots and pans purchases to find ones that don't buzz annoyingly. Only cast iron and enamel coated cast iron don't make noise. 7quart pot now boils water in 5 minutes.

I LOVE Induction Cooking!

I bought and installed my new Whirlpool induction cooktop April 1, 2015. I decided to start with a simple meal, cheeseburgers and fries. I unpacked and washed my new induction-ready cookware and got started. Being new to induction cooking, I fried the patties on 4 (too low in retrospect, which is a good thing), then put the peanut oil in the pan for the fries, set the cooktop at 9 with power boost. In about 30 seconds I dropped a small piece of potato in the oil and what do you know? It was already at frying temperature! In less than seven minutes I had crisp, golden French Fries! My caution with the patties caused them to take a bit longer, but the meal was great, and much time and energy was saved thanks to my new induction cooktop. I am a believer!
