second whirlpool appliance to break right after warranty ends .glasstop cracked from top to bottom even with the great care we use with heavy pots.
poor design with both large burners at the back, makes it awkward to use without hitting my head on the overtop microwave.
only one burner is actually rapid induction.

Major disappointment

We are on our 3rd Whirlpool Induction oven, not to mention several service calls to address the same problem that is being reported below. Whirlpool continues to replace the oven because they are unable to repair the power board. When are they going to make the appropriate repair with this model so customers can have a reliable oven? I would never recommend this brand to anyone.

Hi, Stephanie40. We regret to hear that your induction cooktop continues to have the same control board issue. This is not the kind of experience we want for our customers. If you could, please send an e-mail to us at canadasocial@whirlpool.com with the best phone number to pull up your file. We would be glad to reach out to you and see how we can assist. We bought this as a part of the kitchen remodel and have barely used it for 2 months. It stopped working last night, while I was cooking. And now, I can't cook and have to eat out again!! :(

Horrible induction cooktop
on February 13, 2018

I bought this induction cooktop (Model #: W10441306A) not cheap 3 years ago. One week ago, the stove keeps beeping non-stop even though nothing is on, and the button stop functioning. We unplug and replug to make the noise go away and hoping reset will solve the problem. After unplug and replug, the noise stop but the cooktop is still not working.
So we wait for few hours hoping it will come back to life, but then nothing happened. My husband was in a bad mood as we cannot afford to change new cooktop in 3 years time and it is winter here......so he hit on the cooktop to express his anger and suddenly it gets back to life..... but now the maximum heat can only be reached 6-7 (before when it is normal, the maximum heat is 8 or P). Sometimes it will make strange noise and stop remaining responsive when we pressed the button.
Now we are living in constant fear that the stove will suddenly die down like one week ago. We are deeply frustrated and disappointed with the Whirlpool brand. I DO NOT recommend this brand. I thought it should be a quality brand but now we are going thru this nightmare and we keep stressing out whenever we use the cooktop...... . I do not understand how come a 3 years old stove is so unstable.....

Product is Unreliable

I purchased this cooktop a week ago. It has been majorly disappointing. After about three uses an error code, F47 popped up. A repairman came out, and couldn't fix it. We are now waiting on parts. Parts to fix a new stove!!!!!! We've been eating out, because, our brand new expensive stove DOES NOT WORK!! Avoid this appliance. The technology in theory is great, but in function it is a colossal failure. You WILL regret this purchase! Consider yourself warned!

Installed in our new home Jan 2014. Didn't expect it to fail after less than 2 years. There are other induction cooktops with better warranties.

Very nice cooktop

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We purchased this cooktop to replace our old radiant top. We were skeptical about going to an induction cooktop but couldn't be more pleased after using it for a few months. We had to resurrect our stainless steel magnetic pan set which we had given up on because of cleaning difficulty. This cooktop is very, very fast. The burner areas do not get hot enough to burn the skin. The stainless steel pans do not scorch the way they used to. We love the cooktop.
