I produce my church's newsletter and before, I had to print each page, turn them over to print the other side of it, then collate ave staple four sheets of paper. This process usually took a couple of weeks to complete.
But with my Multiple-functional printer, the process has been reduced to 3-4 days. This because tha printer automatically prints both sides of each page and the document is already collated so all I have to do is the stapling! And there is less waste of paper.
The down side is the amount ink used and it's cost.

Pretty good machine with nice features for the money. I really expected to have to pay about twice as much for the same functionality. Worked great until the 8 1/2 X 11 paper started running down to the lower half of the tray. Then the machine started picking up 2-6 pages for every page I tried to print. I contacted support and they gave me directions to clean the rollers with alcohol, but that really didn't correct the problem. I filled the paper tray to the top and that seemed to have resolved the issue (for now).
I would recommend this to a friend!

Misrepresented

I chose the 6710 so 11x17 paper could be stored in, and run from, the second drawer.I asked the on-line sales rep if the second drawer would protrude with 11x17 paper loaded in it, and was assured that it would not.
I ordered it and, as I had suspected, it protruded about 6 inches.
I returned it and ordered a 6510, which loads a single 11x17 sheet via an easily accessible top rear slot. I placed the printer on a pair of 1 inch spacers, and store the 11x17 sheets on the desk surface below the printer.
The 6510 is very satisfactory; good product; good decision.

Very good machine

Well I just got off the phone with Brother technical support. I have been using this machine now for about 3 weeks. I am using a wireless setup. I configured it myself. It was fairly easy to do. I am an architect and work from home mainly. I needed a 11"x17" printer with scan capability previously I was using an HP 2800n. This thing scans to my server, uploads to my FTP sharing site. I am using it with both XP and Win 7 this thing is awesome. The only minor issue I had was the black print was coming out grey, I played with the settings for about 2 weeks, figuring it was just a user error. Finally I gave up. I contacted technical support we worked through some issues, in about 30 minutes I am printing as good of quality as my laser. It is so much quieter than my laser or old inkjets. This blows HP out of the water. We will see how it holds up, we have the larger laser in our corporate office. I set that up 2 years ago and it is still trucking. Great product. I am buying 2 more for our remote offices.
