Well worth it

Simply stated it is a wonderful, economic printer, that is capable, without being complicated. It is hands and shoulder over any other product I have used for the same purpose. It's an overachiever. Thank you Brother!

Machine is great;but a little large for my space. I use the printer or copier almost every dy. I have had no problems with the machine.

This has proven to be a really good all, works for all my office and personal use needs. Brother sent me 2 refurbished ones to replace a MFC 6940CW that was under warranty. I have to give Brother credit, when those 2 did not work as well as they should have Brother sent me a new machine that does work well. The 2 refurbished machines pulled multiple pages out of the paper tray at a time, this machine does not. Any machine can have feeding problems when the humidity level is too high, but it is a infrequent occurrence with the new machine. Thank You Brother.

Love Brother Printers

There is only one thing that doesn't work well, but it is the one reason why I really wanted to purchase this printer - the direct feed paper path. It misfeeds every time (by allowing the paper to get slightly crooked. That applies to envelopes, card stock. and I wouldn't even risk putting photo paper through).
Everything else works perfectly with this printer. It was easy to set up. I like the cost and performance of Brother inks better than other brands. The print and copy functions are relatively fast.
However, it doesn't meet up to its "Professional Series" name.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Good all-in-one printer

I've had this all-in-one printer for several months now and it performs very well. Have used most of the features, except fax. Instruction book is well written and helpful especially to clear my first paper jam. Seems to use ink very sparingly as I'm still on the original cartridges. Performs 11x17 scanning, copying and printing fine as this was one of the reasons for my purchase. All in all I'm well pleased with the product.

I need 11x 17. The printer is awesome - good quality, uses less ink than past, more reliable connections to Wifi. Scanning is easier. Support is awesome.

Having owned Brother products in the past, I was excited to shop and discover the combination of price and features represented on the MFC-J6710DW. However, when I began working with this machine on a daily basis, I found it to be less than what I had hoped for and what the sales person assured me of its performance. Slow and very loud mechanical noises while copying right next to my desk is irritating. The color scan feature "streaks" and distorts the colors and image quality, on any quality setting, so much that I only use it for internal company messaging, not for public eyes. The recycling time built into nearly every function is very disappointing. Now that I have to live with this MFC on a daily basis, I am continuously disappointed with its performance, particularly with the features mentioned above. Add to these, the fact that color scanning is such an embarrassment that I hesitate sending scans out into the public and it makes me feel that I am stuck with a lemon.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
