A Unique Printer Among AIO's

In case you haven't researched printers, the Brother 11" x 17" models are unique among all other ink-jet models. By offering both Tabloid size printing and scanning, Mac OS X, iPhone & iPad support.
It's frugal with inks and genuine Brother inks are reasonably priced.
I would recommend this to a friend!

it is a little slow but i enjoy the duplex ability it seems to use ink a little faster than my MFC 290c

Decided to purchase this all in one after the success I had with my three previous Brother printer purchases and how pleased I was with them. Due to all the additions of devices, three laptops, two I-Pads and three I-phones, the demand for printing and the convenience to do it wirelessly drove the new purchase. Have been very pleased so far with the purchase and the ease it has been to set everything up and get everyone connected has been a snap.
The print quality is exceptional and the capability to print up to 11 x 17 combined with all the other features you get with the MFC-J6710DW made it an easy choice with no regrets.

Meets and Exceed Expectations

Pros: This printer has wonderful 11x17 qualities for engineering, as well as esculent photo printing capabilities on photo paper. Superb copying as well from hand written notes to 11x17 sheets.
Cons: Wireless network is a paint to get setup (with or without the disk) sometimes. But once programmed, the printer and scanner work flawlessly.
I have recommended this printer to 2 other engineers and a graphic artist, all of them are very happy with the purchase (& with the same feeling on the network setup). None of us use the Fax.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Works good

Has a couple of things I don't like but for the most part is a very good printer.
After completing a print job, It always gives and error which I have to clear by depressing one of the start buttons.
And I have a hard time getting the proper setup for the 17 by 11 paper.

Glitches

Having trouble after three months with paper feed. The software is awkward and Unlike all other brother products we have purchased before. Cannot direct where scans go - this is unusual. Cannot remotely 'see' the ink levels as in the less expensive models. This one got out of the assembly line with glitches.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Printer gripes

was a mess to get started but after 8 or 10 attempts all is working EXCEPT the fax is manual only because you can only set the telephone pickup delay to only 4 rings my old HP you could set up to 6 or more rings so your caller message could be left before the fax machine interupts the call so I have to keep the phone line unplugged unless I am sending or recieving faxes very annoying to say the least.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

For what it does, nothing comes close. Very happy so far and they now have software for Windows 8. Wow. Keep up the good work Brother.
