My tablet is my friend

Got it and was jovial! Played around, drew like a freak, and watched Netflix. Then, my 4 yr old dropped it, 2' drop, flat on its face.
heard a snapping sound. Then a diagonal crack formed. I bawled!

get the protection plan. It's worth it! This is like a large ceramic tile: beautiful, functional, yet fragile.
wish a few things were made better:
volume has 2 settings, one for media, the other for the tablet ...makes for a crabby spouse @ 3 am
Magazine and voice command are too often accidentally bumped On.
I love drawing on it, but I have a rough time sharing documents from Polaroid Office to Dropbox.
Battery drains with Messenger, grrr

Second only to the Tab S, but if you want the pen this is it. Awesome, awesome device with great versatility. The pad to have. Unlimited customization wuthering endings potential

great tablet, but flawed Samsung cover

I love the Note 10.1 2014 edition. I bought the Samsung cover made just for this model. It is a good cover, abs type back for drop protection (up to a point ), even has a hole for the camera. The front cover works well to protect the screen and will put the tablet to sleep when closed, wake when opened. But one HUGE design flaw, no hole in the cover for the back camera. If you want to use it you have 3 ways, take off the cover, do a juggling act trying to hold the tablet, keep the cover out of the way, and press the screen to take the shot (the voice to take a pic is funky when the cover is on and trying to use it). To me it was a really weird overlook, they made a port in the backing, but not the cover. Just keep that in mind if you are looking into the cover.

Good tablet with only a couple of hiccups

I work with a lot of different devices. This is a solid device with a lot of nice features. The screen gives a great picture and I very much enjoy watching movies through Flixster on it. Wi-Fi and Bluetooth work great. I also appreciate the micro SD support.
I have really just 2 issues with this device. The first is the lock of Hold switch. I don't like accidentally bumping it and changing my place in a movie. In fact, sometimes when I'm running (on a treadmill) sweat will fly up and land on the screen...which activates it. A hold button would stop that. The second is price. This is not a cheap device. Honestly, for the price you can get a laptop which is a consideration for a lot of folks.
Pros: Bright display, Realistic color, Lightweight
Cons: high price, no hold button
