Best tablet on the market!!

I just purchased my note 10.1 2014 yesterday after weeks of anticipation and it has not disappointed! Let me break down the features that I have used and my overall opinion of them.
Construction.
The tablet is very light but seems very well put together. The back of the tablet has a good feel to it despite the fact that it is not plastic or metal. I have an iPad as well and to me it feels the same. I am not concerned about breaking it or it getting broken just sitting on my desk. I like the fact that it is slimmer than the previous model and much more eye catching. The silver accents are nice as well. I purchased the black tablet only because the cases that were available where only in black.

Response
The tablet is very quick and I loaded all my current apps, emails, calendars, etc in no time. I love the fact that I can have multiple windows open at a time and can control what I want when I want it. With the S-pen I can also create my own window and put what I want in it! Kind of reminds me of multi-windows on my PC.

Writing
The S-pen is amazing and has really come a long way. I can honestly say that this was a huge selling point for me and was something that was either going to make or break this tablet. I love writing on it and it feels great in my hand. It is also very responsive and doesn't look bulky or thick on the screen. I also used it on the scratchpad on Khan Academy and it worked perfectly and was legible. I have used other stylus pens and this one is by far the best one I have ever used. It also looks great and compliments the tablet well.

Overall
My personal opinion is that for the cost of this tablet it is worth every penny! Updated Android operating system, super fast processor and memory, great apps, beautiful design, and perks on top of that. I'm not sure what more you could ask for in a tablet!

Perfect Companion

I prefer to hand write everything and the 2014 Edition makes my writing come to life. I can write or draw on just about anything with such ease and precision. The resolution is crystal clear and the response by touch or S Pen seems flawless. The Action Memo allows me to jot down a quick command and the device takes care of it for me. The S Note allows me to keep a wine log, to-do lists, and notes for all my meetings among other things. I use this tablet in every aspect of my life from work, to home, to entertainment. I do not go anywhere without this tablet it is my go-to device.

Substance, Style and Performance- Best Tablet out there! MULTI USER TOO!

I have been using the new Galaxy Note10.1- 2014 now for about three weeks.
I am blown away by the beautiful Full HD display which far exceeds any clarity and color of any tablet I have seen!
This tablet weighs in only slightly over 1LB, but it has Substance, Style, and Great Performance that other tablet manufacturers only wish they had thought of!
The S Pen let's me be "naturally" creative as I would with a pencil on paper, as it responds well and handles almost flawless to transcribe what I write as text into typed text from taking notes, to searching in the URL box, to the new ingenious Twitter application that let's me write or draw tweets! The ability to open multi windows is a great new experience from the decaying stagnant features on my old tablet. Not only can you open two apps and work between them at the same time, but you can also open two windows with the same app such as 2 websites or 2 emails... and you can even draw another window, or 2, or 3 on top of those windows to watch youtube or bring up a calculator and more!
With a recent update, the Samsung Galaxy Note 10.1 2014 edition NOW SUPPORTS MULTI-USER! That means another user can log into their own account without disturbing anything you have saved or are working on!
I highly recommend this tablet. You can also expand this device's storage by an additional 64GB with a micro SD card!
HIGHLY RECOMMEND this tablet for anyone who likes to be creative or productive and enjoys the freedom to have the additional input that the S Pen provides!

Simply Amazing!! Samsung has truly out done themselves this time! This tablet is fast easy to use and fun! I can do anything there is an app for everything. The handwriting feature is truly genius you are left with a feeling of satisfaction rater than frustration. The S pen is remarkable. I love how user friendly this tablet is I love how all of the setting for everything is in one place. I can adjust the settings for security and wifi all in the same place. Its nice not to have to go in to a bunch of different apps to access the settings menu. Having them all in one place is so much easier and way less confusing.
Pros: Bright display, Realistic color, Lightweight

Even Better Than I Expected

I really was not planning on making this purchase as I already own a Samsung Galaxy Note 10.1 which I like a lot but being tempted by the specifications of this 2014 edition (Beautiful Screen, Speed, Size etc.) and also taking into consideration that my older daughter was encouraging me to make the purchase so she could get her hands on my Note 10.1, I finally decided to do the deed.
The one thing that I was worried about was the placement of the speakers, I liked the speakers facing forward on the older model which is a rear feature on tablets but after playing the same videos and music on both, side by side, I was pleasantly surprised that the Note 10.1 2014 edition's side firing speakers were actually louder and clearer than the front facing speakers of the previous model.
Another plus was the fact that I can now print directly from my note 10.1 2014 edition using my HP Printer, gone are the days of having to also purchase a Samsung printer just to print from your tablet, this is a great move by Samsung.
This tablet is a great performer, the only two little negatives that I can think about is the fact that:
(1) I don't know if it's my mind playing tricks on me but it seems to me that the 2014 edition's battery drains a little faster than the model before it. I think I'll do a little test by fully charging both then playing the same movie on both with brightness set to half and I'll post the results for those who are interested.
(2) I've also noticed a very little light-bleed particularly at the bottom of the screen while watching a movie with the black band at top and bottom, this is in no way a deal breaker as you will hardly ever notice this.

Expensive... But Amazing!

This is the fastest tablet I have ever used. I have been looking into purchasing a tablet for a while now, and I am glad I finally settled on this one.
So far, there is literally no lag. Most other tablets have a delay, whether in app launching or general screen lag, but this Tablet is incredibly fast and powerful.
The screen is amazing! The screen definitely competes (if not surpasses, the quality of the iPad screen.
The only downfall is the price. It is nice getting a lot of the FREE perks for registering the tablet though.

Cons: expensive

Awesome features

I recently switched from the iPad to the Samsung Galaxy Note 10.1. My husband also bought one and it's hard to get him to put it down! We love the lightness of it and the S pen is so handy, we also love the multi-window option and the Google play store of course. There are so many good things to say about this device. We are definitely happy with our choice to go with Samsung vs. Apple.

Great Tablet! Very High Performance!

I received my new Tablet a few days ago and it is a major improvement over my Tab 2 which I only bought a little over a year ago.
The new Note 10.1 2014 Edition has a very vivid sharp display, is very responsive and has the wonderfully fast new A/C wireless connection. I recently needed to replace my router in my home and I had put in a new router that is A/C capable. The Tablet is my first wireless device with the new faster standard and worked very well.
The stylus is a nice option and I find myself using it all the time. I love that the Tablet unlocks itself when removing the stylus. No more fingerprint marks on the screen. Also the three control buttons on the bottom of the case rather than on the screen is a large improvement.
The extra features of the stylus... I am not sure about them. I will have to see if they are programmable. If they are or could be in the future I can see use for it.
Initially I was disappointed with the battery life but then I found that the GPS unit was defaulted to the "on" position and the unit was drinking power like it was water. Once I had turned off the GPS the Tablet seems to last a reasonable amount of time. It last for two days for me with on and off use. I am sure it would last a full day with nearly constant use.
Perhaps the biggest and most important change of this Tablet from prior Tablets is it uses a micro USB cord for charging rather than a proprietary plug. How refreshing!
The only real downside seems to be the split screen feature. I was hoping more from this. As far as I can tell there are very few apps that you can use it with. This is very disappointing. I was looking forward to this feature. Hopefully it will improve as more apps are written to use it. It is also possible I am not using it right I suppose. There is a serious lack of documentation on this feature's use.
Over all this Tablet is a delight to use and I give it a 5 star rating!
