Terrible battery

The display on this tablet is bright and vivid and better than iPad. The many features are fairly easy to access but the advertised ability to read and modify Microsoft office documents was a pipe dream - the app simply did not work. Moreover, to do anything you had to register for a Google account which I just did not want to do.
However, the primary reason I returned the device was the battery - it was terrible. It took 48 hours to put a full charge on the battery out of the box. Once I finally turned the unit on, the battery discharged at a rapid rate despite the fact that all I was doing was basic email and online search. Also, when the battery charge reached 55% the machine turned itself off and would not restart until I recharged the battery. Just unacceptable. Happily, I purchased from a reputable retailer who took the item back and I got a Windows 2 in 1 tablet that works just fine and has about a 9 hour battery life through all kinds of uses and does everything I need it to do. Stay away from this model of the Samsung!

Cons: Poor quality, Did not meet expectations, battery

Excellent note for work using

I used it in my work to take my notes, then send it to my self to type it later, it helps me in every ware as a note with pen. The pen is amazing in my work

And excellent tablet but one minor glitch

The tablet feels good in my hand very responsive. I would have liked to have a HDMI SLOT or a full USB port. One of those or even both would have made this tablet outstanding and would have sent it to the top of the tablet list without a doubt. Even so I would definitely recommend it.

Cons: no hdmi or full usb port

Great for work

I use my Galaxy Note for work (physician). It is great for note taking with the S pen while I'm in the room with patients and can use it as a quick reference when on rounds.
Pros: Bright display, Lightweight
Cons: Too big

My Second One

I had one before, and ended up trading it for a windows tablet (it was work related), which I regretted in the end. In between I picked up a Nexus 7 2013 edition, but both tablets did not meet my needs for drawing. I use the stylus and Sketchbook Pro app to create with. No other tablet at that price range comes with a stylus that is pressure sensitive and that precise. The Note series is just for me, I have a Note 4 as well and both the tablet and the phablet meet all my needs.
Pros: Inexpensive, Realistic color, Bright display, Built-in speakers, Lightweight, stylus, a lot of features
Cons: speakers are quiet sometimes, does not feel premium
I would recommend this to a friend!
