I don't know quite where to start for this review. The screen resolution is amazing and the color rendition for pictures is right on. It has so many features, like a TV guide and functional remote. The pen is so useful and can be used in most applications. It comes with its own "office" program which is compatible with the BIG one and produces Doc files and can print to a wireless printer. I was torn between the new windows tablets or staying with Android, GLAD I STAYED It comes with JELLY BEAN but the tablet did an automatic up date to KITCAT on the first day. Very happy with this purchase Highly recommend this unit,
I bought this looking for a good electronic help to my college. It broke within a few months of using it. The chrome siding (the paint) is coming off, the screen popped out on one corner and won't pop back in, it's becoming progressively slower. The charge spot is also in a really really dumb spot. I actually think they fixed this a few months after, with their newest tablet release. I do have good things to say, the display is very nice. And I really like the sound, it's clear and loud. But overall, not worth the money. Try the PRO? Definitely won't say stay away from Samsung. I believe they are capable of better than this one mistaken product. Best of luck.
Pros: Built-in speakers, Bright display, Realistic color
Cons: Poor quality, Did not meet expectations, flimsy
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

I have been using this tablet for six months and am totally please with its performance. It is so easy to use and the speed is fantastic......My wife is always using my tablet and not the lap top I purchased a year ago. It looks as if I'll have to purchase this tablet for her so I can get mine back.
I would like the S Note application to allow moving the pen, eraser, selection, etc controls from the top-left to the top-right for use by left-handed users.
I would recommend this to a friend!

New owner for 2 months and this device is great for many different uses. Thank you samsung for great features and awesome tech support.
I own another 10" Android tablet by another manufacturer and while it was decent they did not upgrade the OS and it was a little too slow for me to actually work on.
I spent the better part of a month researching tablets and being a Mac / iPhone user I was drawn to an iPad, but as I really looked into the differences between the iPad & the Galaxy Note I decided that there were a few things that I really wanted that the iPad couldn't deliver. Expandable storage and the "note" ability being the two biggest things. I wasn't sure how I felt about having the ability to write on the tablet, but I use it almost all the time! It is amazing and is actually MUCH easier to use than typing on the tablet. There are a few issues with it from time to time, but as far as recognizing my handwriting it has been flawless.
The ability to view a split screen has also been great, being able to look at client information and a calendar at the same time is great.
Flaws? Well, I really hate the placement of the "buttons" at the bottom. when holding the tablet my thumb is constantly hitting the back or the file button. The tip on the ePen wears out too fast. Battery charging doesn't keep up with power usage when watching movies or playing games. The volume button also seems backwards to me, maybe because it's opposite to my iPhone.
The only real problem for me, as a photographer, is that Adobe released Lightroom Mobile 2 weeks after I bought the Galaxy Note. That being said it wouldn't have changed my mind. Buy one of these, you won't be sorry.
