This particular brush was a replacement brush covered under warranty. After almost two years my original one stopped working. I did all I could and followed all the trouble shooting suggestions but the handle did not work. It was not the charger as my husband has the same brush purchased at the same time. We use the same charger. I was not aware that my brush was still under warranty until I went to register the new brush I purchased to replace the one that stopped working. When I called, the representative was very helpful. I was able to get a replacement handle and was sent a postage paid return label for the old one that stopped working so that I could return it. Excellent customer service. I was impressed that Philips stands by its products! Thank you.
Pros: teeth feel cleaner than with manual brushing., excellent customer service., philips stands by its products., good warranty.
Cons: stopped working after almost two years

Seriously, my dentist (well, the hygienist) recommended that I start using an electric toothbrush, to help with my chronic plaque problem. I had thought they were just gimmicky, but she was quite insistent, so I tried the Philips Sonicare. I found it easy to use, easy to hold (even with my aches and pains from carpal tunnel and tendinitis) and my teeth felt cleaner. At my next cleaning appointment, my hygienist spontaneously said that the buildup on my teeth was much less than usual, and what happened? I was really tickled to tell her that it was on her suggestion that I adopted an electric toothbrush and it was amazing that she could actually tell the difference. Will never go back to a manual toothbrush. Then my kid wanted one... then my partner wanted one... on and on...

This Sonicare toothbrush cleans your teeth very well. However, if you have sensitive teeth and gums, this product may not be for you. The previous Sonicare I purchased had 3 cleaning intensity selections but was more expensive. This product does not because it is the cheaper version. This Sonicare irritated my mouth and I had to return to my older Sonicare toothbrush. I did not return it to the store because another family member uses it. So, moral of the story is, you get what you pay for.
Pros: cleans well
Cons: too tough on sensitive teeth and gums
