Love this toothbrush!

This product is a must for everyone. I am on my second one. I tend to wear out the buttons. Over use? Oh well, I love it. It does not compare to any other toothbrush on the market. It is well worth the investment.

The only thing I would mention is that when the handle gets wet it is a little slippery (toothpaste and water running down handle) and that a matte or non-smooth handle or even a rubber coated portion of the handle would be ideal.
Also a brush head holder (brush head peg) on the base would be helpful.

Basic model provides great checkups

I have never received a bad checkup, since using the Sonicare and it has been at least twenty years. Prior to Sonicare, the dentist had me go three times a year for cleanings, because of gingivitis. The toothbrush pays for itself with low dental bills and less cleanings.
Pros: my poodle uses a sonicare.
Cons: being right hand dominate effects my brushing

This product was recommended by my dentist. Unlike the brand with a revolving power head, Philips Sonicare toothbrush provides for a deep cleaning in addition to flossing. The vibrating bristles clean under the gum line without abrasiveness against the gum tissue. I've been using Sonicare for years, and would never return to hand brushing or other brands. My gums have receded in areas prior to the Sonicare. But, since using it three times a day, I have maintained healthy teeth and gums. This product is an essential device to keep teeth and gums in tip-top shape everyday. It's something every home should include in their armory for good health.

I have owned another Phillips electric toothbrush for years and I absolutely love it. My gums and teeth are in great condition because of it. But it suddenly stopped working. It was expensive so I bought this less expensive model with only 1 setting while my other toothbrush had many settings. I am not so happy with the new one because it does not seem to have as much cleaning power. It feels slower and less strong. But I will use it as my travel toothbrush instead of my everyday at home toothbrush.
