This product was recommended by my dentist since plaque is building up under my bridge and a regular toothbrush can't do the job. However, I find it very difficult to use toothpaste with the sonic brush as the gel pops off the brush. Therefore, I still need to brush with toothpaste manually and use the sonic brush to deal with removing plaque.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Nowhere near as good as the original design, though streamlined

This newer Sonicare model is lighter and more streamlined than the orginal models, which I really like, but I was disappointed with the performance. I switched to this product when my original design Sonicare battery started failing. I still have both and have compared brushing with one and the other and the difference is VERY noticeable. This newer model is more portable and great for trips and I like how it looks, but, despite having the exact same vibrations per second, it just does not leave my teeth feeling clean like the original models did. This is my third Sonicare brush and I wish I could go back to the original design. Sonicare made an enormous impact on the health of my gums and teeth. I have receding gums (genetic) and using Sonicare brushes for the past 15 years has prevented its progression. When I switch to a manual toothbrush for more than a couple of days I can immediately tell how much the Sonicare toothbrushes help. I'm just not satisfied with this particular model. It's easier to switch the heads and keep clean, but I care more about how it actually cleans my teeth. Until my old Sonicare fully dies I plan to use this newer one just for trips.
Pros: lightweight, easy to clean
Cons: does not clean teeth well, flimsy
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
